Why sit a mock before you finish the syllabus
Candidates routinely delay mocks until revision is "done", which wastes their diagnostic value. A mock sat early tells you which sections cost you the most marks per minute — the single most useful number in your preparation — and there is still time to act on it. Sat late, it only confirms what you already suspected.
How to get value from each attempt
- Sit the full test in one timed block, to the real duration.
- Do not pause to look anything up; a mock you interrupt measures nothing.
- Review every wrong answer and every lucky guess — both are gaps.
- Re-sit a different test in the same section a week later to check the gap closed.
