The Combined Geo-Scientist 2027 Preliminary e-Admit Card has not been released yet: Stage-I is on 10 January 2027, and UPSC issues e-Admit Cards on the last working day of the week before the exam, on https://upsconline.nic.in. UPSC posted the 2027 Prelims time table on 26 October 2026. The 2026 cycle is over: its final result came out on 16 October 2026.
CGS 2027 Prelims timings
The CGS 2027 Prelims time table puts Paper-I, General Studies, common for all streams, from 09.30 A.M. to 11.30 A.M., and Paper-II, the stream paper, from 02.00 P.M. to 04.00 P.M. on Sunday, 10 January 2027. How will the CGS 2027 e-Admit Card be issued?
Examination Notice No. 01/2027-GEOL says the card is made available on https://upsconline.nic.in for download, and no admit card is sent by post. Candidates who changed their scribe seven days before the exam get it three days before the exam. If you have no e-Admit Card one week before the exam, contact UPSC at once, in person at the Facilitation Counter or on 011-24041001 / 011-40303444. A candidate who has not written in at least one week before the exam is solely responsible for not receiving it.
What to check on the CGS e-Admit Card
The notice asks candidates to check the card carefully on receipt and report errors to UPSC immediately. In 2026, UPSC asked candidates to confirm the Name, Photograph and QR Code and to email discrepancies to [email protected]. The CGS 2026 Prelims e-Admit Card notice told candidates to keep the card until the final result of the 2026 examination. If the photograph was not visible, blurred or missing, they were to carry two identical photographs, one for each session, for the Undertaking at the venue.
Exam-day rules for the CGS Prelims
- Entry closes 30 minutes before each session, and nobody is let in after that.
- Face authentication is mandatory, with identity verification and frisking, so report well in time.
- Carry the e-Admit Card and the Photo ID Card whose number is on it, in each session.
- Mark the OMR answer sheet with a black ball pen only; pencils and ink pens are not allowed.

- In 2026, candidates could take in only the e-Admit Card, pen, pencil, identity proof and self-photographs.
