How to use the ESE mock tests

  1. Sit one full-length test first, in a single 180-minute sitting, before you revise anything — it shows where you actually stand.
  2. Note the section that cost you the most marks per minute, then work its section-wise test (Civil Engineering 1, Electronic Telecommunication Engineering1, Electrical Engineering 1, General Studies and Aptitude, Mechanical Eng. 1, Mechanical Engineering, General Studies and Civil Eng.) until that score moves.
  3. Mind the marking: at +2/−0.66 with four options, a blind guess only about breaks even, while ruling out one option makes a guess clearly worth it.
  4. Compare your score with the ESE cut off — and aim to clear it with a margin.
  5. Alternate mocks with the ESE previous year papers: mocks train speed, real papers show what the examiner actually asks.
