The NDA & NA (II) 2026 e-Admit Card was released on 3 September 2026 on upsconline.nic.in, and the written exam it was issued for was held on 13 September 2026. Candidates who cleared the written result of 9 October 2026 now need an SSB call-up from the services, not a UPSC admit card. Keep the e-Admit Card safe: UPSC says it must be preserved till the final result of NDA & NA (II) 2026 is declared.

Where was the NDA (II) 2026 e-Admit Card issued?

Examination Notice No. 10/2026-NDA-II says eligible candidates get an e-Admit Card on the last working day of the week before the exam, on upsconline.nic.in (see the Examination Notice), and that no admit card is sent by post or email. UPSC's press note of 3 September 2026 confirmed the upload for this cycle and said no paper admit card would be issued. A candidate who had received no e-Admit Card seven days before the exam was told to contact the Commission at once, in person at the Facilitation Counter or on 011-24041001 / 011-40303444.

What to check on the NDA e-Admit Card

The notice asks candidates to check the card carefully and report errors to UPSC immediately; for this exam the press note named a dedicated e-mail, [email protected]. The notice also warns that the name may be abbreviated for technical reasons, and that nobody may sit the exam on an e-Admit Card issued in another candidate's name. Letters to UPSC must quote the URN, Application Number and Roll Number, among other particulars, or they may not be attended to.

Exam-day rules for NDA & NA (II) 2026

  • Timings: Mathematics 10.00 AM to 12.30 PM and General Ability Test 02.00 PM to 04.30 PM. Entry closed 30 minutes before each session, at 09.30 AM and 01.30 PM.
  • Documents: the printout of the e-Admit Card and the photo ID card whose number is printed on it, in each session. If the photograph on the card was not clear, the candidate needed a photo identity card and two passport size photographs, one per session, with an undertaking.
  • Face authentication was mandatory at the venue, followed by identity verification and frisking.
  • Only a black ball point pen may be used on the OMR answer sheet and attendance list. Simple wrist watches are allowed; smart watches are not.
  • Banned items: bags, mobile phones (even switched off), smart or digital watches, AI enabled glasses, other IT gadgets and books. Calculators and log tables are also not permitted, and there is no safe-keeping at the venue.
  • A candidate who has changed his or her name must produce a Government-issued photo ID with the changed name in each session.

SSB call-up letter after the written result

The SSB interview has its own call-up, sent by the services. UPSC's written result note of 9 October 2026 asks qualified candidates to register on joinindianarmy.nic.in within two weeks of the result; Selection Centres and SSB dates are then sent to the registered e-mail ID. Login problems go to [email protected]. The notice adds that candidates with Air Force as first choice also register on joinindianarmy.nic.in for AFSB and date selection, while Navy-first candidates should also watch joinindiannavy.gov.in.

According to the notice, SSB interviews for this cycle are likely between December 2026 and January 2027. Report on the date in the call-up letter; a postponement request goes to the Administrative Officer of the Selection Centre that sent the letter, and Army Headquarters alone decides it. Original certificates of age and educational qualification are submitted to the SSB, not to UPSC. First-time candidates for a type of commission are entitled to AC III Tier to-and-fro railway fare. For SSB queries the result note lists 011-26175473 (Army first choice), 011-23010097 (Navy) and 011-23010231 Extn. 7645/7646/7610 (Air Force).
