NDA Result 2026: NDA (II) Written Result Out, SSB Next

UPSC declared the NDA & NA (II) 2026 written result on 9 October 2026 as a list of roll numbers qualified for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview, and added a list with names on 13 October 2026. The SSB stage comes next, likely between December 2026 and January 2027, and the final merit list follows it. This cycle fills the 158th Course of the NDA and the 120th Indian Naval Academy Course, commencing 1 July 2027.

Stage 1: NDA (II) 2026 written result

The written result PDF lists candidates who obtained the minimum qualifying marks fixed by UPSC; it carries no marks. Male and female candidates appear in separate lists, because the notice says written results and final merit lists for men and women are prepared separately against their own vacancies: 370 for men and 24 for women this cycle, 394 in all. The candidature of everyone on the list is provisional until certificates are verified.

Stage 2: SSB interview

Qualified candidates must register on joinindianarmy.nic.in within two weeks of the written result; Selection Centres and SSB dates are then sent by e-mail. The SSB has two stages. Stage I (Officer Intelligence Rating and Picture Perception and Description Test) screens candidates; Stage II (interview, group testing, psychology tests and the conference) runs over 4 days. Air Force aspirants who qualify the SSB also take the Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS), which is given only once. Original age and education certificates are handed to the SSB, not to UPSC.

Stage 3: final merit list and allocation

The final result is a single combined list on written marks (900) plus SSB marks (900). Candidates must clear the minimum qualifying marks separately in the written exam and at the SSB. Allocation to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA or the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme of the Indian Naval Academy follows merit-cum-preference, eligibility and medical fitness. Marks are rounded to two decimals; ties go to the higher written total, then higher General Ability Test marks, then the older candidate. The final result list does not take the medical examination into account. Selected candidates get a joining letter through the online portal and risk cancellation if they do not report within seven (7) days of the reporting date.

When are NDA marks published?

There is no scorecard with the written result. The 9 October 2026 note says marks and cut-off marks for NDA & NA (II) 2026 will be uploaded only after the final result and will stay on the website for thirty (30) days. In NDA (II) 2025 the final result came on 8 April 2026, cut-off marks on 10 April and marks of recommended candidates on 16 April 2026; that file shows written, SSB and final totals, with the top male candidate on 1096.52 out of 1800 (545.52 written plus 551 SSB).
