Assam High School TET Exam Pattern 2022 – Check Paper 1 & 2 Here

Assam High School TET Exam Pattern 2022 – Assam High School TET Examination is an annual statewide exam conducted by Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (Assam) along with the state government of Assam. Eligible candidates can get the exam pattern at the official website: ssa.assam.gov.in/. This test is conducted to recruit teachers for high school level education (ie, classes VIII to X) in various schools within the state of Assam. The examination will be held in two stages namely Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is common for all eligible candidates and Paper II will have three options A, B and C. To check the eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus and mark distribution read the entire article. 

Assam High School TET Exam Pattern 2022

As mentioned earlier the exam pattern consists of two stages and candidates are required to score at least 60% on both papers for general category candidates and 55% for SC/ST/OBC/PH/MOBC category candidates. It is required for the candidates to individually qualify both Papers. Paper I will be common to all candidates. The exam pattern in detail is provided below 

  • Mode of exam: Offline 
  • Duration of exam: 120 minutes for each paper
  • Type of questions: The examination will be conducted in multiple choice question(MCQ) format.
  • Total marks: 200 
  • Number of questions: 200
  • Marking scheme : one mark for every right answer and no negative marking

Assam High School TET Syllabus 2022 

It is important for candidates to be familiar with Assam HS TET Exam syllabus along with the exam pattern. Given below is a brief syllabus with topics of relevance. 

Paper I (common to all) 

  • Pedagogy 
  • General English 
  • Basic numerals 
  • Assam and its people

Paper II (option based) 

  • Option A – Commerce 
  • Option B – Science
  • Option C – General Studies and Current affairs

PAPER-II: Option A – Commerce 

  • Part I: Business Studies (20 Marks)
  • Part II: Accountancy (30 Marks)
  • Part III: Salesmanship & Advertising (20 Marks)
  • Part IV: Banking (15 Marks)
  • Part V: Insurance (15 Marks)

PAPER-II: Option B – Science

Candidate can choose any two parts from this syllabus:

  • Part I: Physics (50 Marks)
  • Part II: Chemistry ( 50 Marks)
  • Part III: Biology(50 Marks)
  • Part IV: Mathematics (50 Marks)

PAPER-II: Option C – General Studies and Current Affairs

Events of significance within the realms of cultural, political, scientific, social, economic, literary and games and sports.

About Assam HS TET Exam 

The Assam HS TET Exam is held annually by the Secondary education Department of the state of Assam. Candidates must be a citizen of India, a permanent resident of the state of Assam and over the age of 21 to be able to apply for this examination. To be eligible candidate must possess a masters degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University in Arts, Science or Commerce with B.Ed or B.T. Postgraduate degrees other than M.A., M.Com and M.Sc will not be considered to be eligible. The application fee for the Assam HS TET Exam is ₹500 for general category candidates and ₹300 for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PH candidates.

Ans. No, Assam HS TET Exam is held offline. 

Q2. Will there be negative marks for wrong answers? 

Ans. No, there are no negative marking for this examination. 

Q3. Will Paper II be of descriptive type? 

Ans. No, both Paper I and Paper II are in MCQ format.
