IBPS Clerk Result 2026: CSA-XVI Prelims Result Due November

The IBPS Clerk (CRP CSA-XVI) Preliminary result has not been declared yet: the notification schedules it for November, 2026, ahead of the Main Examination, scheduled in the IBPS calendar for 27 December 2026, and provisional allotment in March, 2027. The latest CSA-XVI item on the IBPS CSA-XVI page is the vacancy corrigendum of 29.09.2026. Separately, the CSA-XVI candidate portal ran a "Link for Updating State/UT and Bank Preferences" from 16/10/2026 to 23/10/2026.

What does each IBPS Clerk result mean?

• Preliminary (screening only): IBPS shortlists "adequate number of candidates in each category" for the Main, and each of the three tests has its own cut-off. In CRP CSA-XV, the result notice of 25.11.2025 said the result "is being made available to the candidates" and set the Main for 29.11.2025.
• Main (the only merit stage): there is no interview. Merit is drawn only from Main marks, and cut-offs depend on the number of State/UT-wise vacancies. Main scores are not shared until the provisional allotment process is complete.
• Provisional allotment (final result): candidates are allotted to a bank on merit-cum-preference against State/UT-wise vacancies, and check their status on www.ibps.in with their Registration Number or Roll Number and Date of Birth or Password. In CRP CSA-XV, the notice of 02.03.2026 also published State/UT-wise and category-wise maximum and minimum Main scores out of 100.

Normalisation and ties

Scores from different sessions are normalised by the equi-percentile method, and calculations use two decimal points. The 200-mark Main is converted out of 100 for allotment. When two candidates have the same score, the one senior in age is placed higher.

After the result: language test, joining and the reserve list

An allotment is not an offer of employment. Allotted candidates must clear the Local Language Proficiency Test of the State/UT, unless they produce a 10th standard or higher mark sheet showing they studied the language, and pass identity and document checks by the allotted bank. Candidates who fail the language test will not be offered appointment. A candidate who does not take up the offer or appointment from the allotted bank forfeits the chance in the process. A reserve list of about 30 percent of the vacancies in each category may be kept, and allotment from it may be carried out three to four times.

In CRP CSA-XV, allotment came in stages. Allotment for every State/UT except Chandigarh was announced on 02.03.2026. Chandigarh followed on 17.07.2026, after a Punjab & Haryana High Court order. A second reserve-list phase came on 15.09.2026, and the IBPS CSA-XV page lists another reserve-list allotment on 15 October 2026.
