IBPS SO Result 2026: SPL-XVI Prelims Result & Scores Out

The CRP SPL-XVI Preliminary result is out. IBPS posted the "Result Status of Online Preliminary Examination" link on 15 October 2026, followed on 22 October 2026 by the scores, available until 31 October 2026. Shortlisted candidates take the Main Examination on 1 November 2026. The notification schedules the Main result for November, 2026, interviews for November/ December, 2026, and provisional allotment for January, 2027.

What does each IBPS SO result mean?

• Preliminary (qualifying): candidates must clear a cut-off in each of the four tests and, where necessary, on the total. Results and scores are viewed by login with Registration No / Roll No and Password / DOB. The SPL-XVI result-status link has since closed with "Result display is over". The notice dated 22.10.2026 confirms that only Main marks count for the interview shortlist and final merit.
• Main (interview shortlist): in CRP SPL-XV, IBPS published a post-wise list of registration numbers dated 18.12.2025 for candidates shortlisted for interview. Merit rests on the Professional Knowledge score, and Main scores are not shared with shortlisted candidates before the interview process is complete.
• Final (provisional allotment): the Main and interview are combined in an 80:20 ratio. Candidates check their allotment status on www.ibps.in with their Registration Number or Roll Number and Date of Birth or Password.

Scores, cut-offs and ties

The SPL-XVI Preliminary scoring note lists the cut-offs applied on each test and on the total out of 125, separately for IT Officer, Agricultural Field Officer, Rajbhasha Adhikari, Law Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer. Where the Main is held in more than one session, scores are normalised by the equi-percentile method and calculated to two decimal points. If candidates are tied, the one senior in age is placed higher.

After the Main result

Interviews carry 100 marks, with a minimum of 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD). Shortlisted candidates must produce all original documents at the interview, or their candidature is rejected. In the XV cycle, the shortlist notice required them to upload scanned documents through a link on ibps.in and said the photo and thumb impression taken at the Main would be verified at the interview.

Provisional allotment is post-wise and category-wise, on merit-cum-preference. A candidate who does not take up the offer or appointment from the allotted bank forfeits the chance in the process. A reserve list of about 20 percent of the vacancies under each category for each post may be kept. In CRP SPL-XV, the allotment notice dated 15.01.2026 also published the post-wise and category-wise maximum and minimum combined scores out of 100, and said the list of allotted candidates would be displayed on or before 15.02.2026.
