BPSC Main Exam 2017
The 29th BPSC Main Exam 2017 exam is being conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission. The candidates who have appeared for the preliminary exam conducted on 3 August 2017 and have qualified in this exam will now be called to appear for the Main exam. The candidate will have to fill an application form for the same. The result for the preliminary exam was published on 03 February 2017 on the official website. There were around 1833 candidates who had passed the preliminary exam. Syllabus for the Main exam 2017
All these candidates are supposed to appear for the BPSC Main Exam 2017. The candidates who are going to appear for the exam will get the topics from these following subjects. The candidates will get topics from the following subjects. The syllabus for BPSC Main Exam 2017 is divided into two parts. First five subjects which are listed below are compulsory for all the candidates whereas the other topics also contains five subjects but out of them the candidates will get a choice to pick any three options that they want to appear for. The above mentioned subjects are compulsory subjects. The G.K will be of 150 marks and rest of the subjects will bo of 100 marks. Please note the code of each subject for BPSC Main Exam 2017 carefully as it is required to be mentioned in the application form for the Main exam. On the basis of selection of the subjects, the candidates will get question papers. From the above papers, General Hindi and General English will be the qualifying papers. The candidates will be required to achieve at least 30% marks in both of these papers. However, the marks of both these papers will not be included in the preparation of the final merit list.

The candidates who will appear for the Main exam will have to pick any three choices from the above-mentioned subjects. The candidates are required to mention these subjects in the application form only.
The candidate will be required to minimum qualifying marks in this exam. Only the candidates who achieve a minimum of 35% marks in this exam will be called for the personal interview. After the evaluation of the marks achieved in written exam and the interview, a final merit list will be prepared for the candidates who are eligible for the recruitment. All the candidates who have been selected after all the written test and interviews will receive the joining letter and they will be required to complete all the joining formalities within the stipulated time period.
