Territorial Army Cut Off 2021: The Indian Army conduct recruitment of ex-servicemen and other civilians in the Territorial Army. Each year, the Army conducts recruitment of ex-servicemen to fill up posts for Commissioned Officers in the Territorial Army. Based on the previous year trends, selection of ex-servicemen for recruitment into the Territorial Army is done through interview and medical examination. On the other hand, Civilians are recruited through written test, followed by interview and medical tests. Candidates who secure the minimum cut off marks in the selection tests are recruited to fill up the posts.

The exact cut off marks for the selection tests of the Territorial Army are released by the Indian Army in due course of time. The cut-off marks are declared after the release of recruitment test results on the official website i.e. jointerritorialarmy.gov.in. A minimum qualifying standard is set for Civilians to pass the written test which consist of Paper I & Paper II.
Territorial Army Minimum Qualifying Marks
As per reports, the minimum qualifying marks for the written tests of Civilian recruitment into the Territorial Army is 40% in each section of the question paper. There are two Papers and each paper has two parts in them. Candidates have to individually secure 40% or more marks in each section to qualify the written test.
In addition, one must also secure an overall aggregate percentage marks of 50% or more in order to qualify the written tests and appear in subsequent interviews and medical examination.
Factors Determining Territorial Army Cut Offs
It may be noted that the cut off marks are different than the minimum qualifying marks. While a candidate must secure the minimum qualifying marks in order to pass the test, securing the cut offs or more is required to actually get shortlisted in the final merit lists.
The Indian Army considers a number of factors before determining the cut-off marks for the written exam. These factors are inclusive of, but not limited to the following.

- Availability of vacancies
- Difficulty level of the test

The results of Territorial Army recruitment selection tests is released online at the official website as per schedule after the exam. Candidates can check if they have been selected in the merit lists. The entire selection process for Civilians consist of the following stages.
Written Test – candidates have to pass the written test which is notified by the Indian Army for recruitment of civilians into the Territorial Army. The minimum qualifying marks is 50% aggregate and 40% in each section to pass the written exam.
Interview & medical tests – Those who qualify the written tests are called to appear in the interview conducted by the Preliminary Interview Board. Qualifiers have to pass through the medical tests for final recruitment order and appointment.
