CG TET 2018 or Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test 2018 will be conducted by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board. The exam will be conducted for the teacher recruitment in elementary schools of Chhattisgarh for classes I-V and up to class VI-VIII. CG TET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

For class I to V Teacher:-

  • A candidates applying must be a Higher Secondary pass candidate with minimum 50% marks. OR
  • Must have passed 12th class with minimum 45% and a two year’s training in elementary education under National Teacher Education Council. OR
  • Must have passed 12th class with minimum 50% and a 4-year-old elementary education training. OR
  • Must have passed 12th class with minimum 50% and a candidate for the final year in the biennial training.

For class VI to VIII Teacher:-

  • Candidates must have obtained any 2/3 year graduate degree. must be enrolled in the first year of a two-year training in primary education. OR
  • A candidate must have obtained a graduate degree with minimum 50% marks and must be enrolled in the first year of B. Ed. and must have a last year’s candidate. OR
  • A candidate must have obtained a graduate degree with minimum 50% marks in BEd, as per National Teacher Education Council. OR
  • A candidate must have passed 12th class with minimum 50% marks and a 4-year-old elementary education graduate (BLA) or a candidate for the last year.

CG TET 2018 Exam Pattern

There will be two papers in this examination both have multiple choice questions.

  • Paper I- for the post of teachers for class 1-5
  • Paper II- for the post of teachers for class 6-8

NOTE- The person who wants to be eligible to become a teacher in both levels of class I-VIII will have to pass the qualification in both the papers.

Passing Criteria for CG TET 2018

To pass the exam, the candidate will have to attain a minimum passing marks required i.e 90 marks, 60% marks of the total. The table down below shows the criteria as per the category:-

  • Minimum Marks – 90 min score i.e. 60% of total marks.
  • Backward Classes / Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / Disabled – 75 score i.e. 50% of total marks.
