Overview of Goa TET
State Council of Education Research and Training (SCERT) conducts Goa Teacher Eligibility Test (GTET) once a year for candidates who are interested in teaching posts of state schools. There are two papers conducted for GTET. Paper 1 of Goa TET is for candidates who intend to teach classes from 1st to 5th and paper 2 is for candidates who intend to teach classes from 6th to 8th. Goa TET 2021 Answer Key
The State Council of Education Research and Training (SCERT) releases the Goa TET answer key on its official web portal which is scert.goa.gov.in, after the exam is conducted. The candidates can check their probable score by going through the answer key provided. From the official website, candidates can go to the link provided to download the answer key for GTET exam. A PDF of the respective paper will appear which can be downloaded by candidates for their convenience.
Goa TET 2021 Results
The Goa TET result 2021 is declared by the State Council of Education Research and Training (SCERT) on its official website (scert.goa.gov.in) within 6 weeks of the exam. The candidates qualifying GTET exam are considered GTET qualified and clear one of the eligibility criteria for the appointment for teaching in state schools. The candidates can check their results online from the official web portal. The candidates are required to print out the result and keep it safely with them for further use.
Goa TET 2021 Exam Pattern
Each exam of Goa TET 2021 is conducted in an offline mode and has multiple-choice questions. The exam duration for Paper 1st as well as Paper 2nd is two and a half hours. The exam pattern of GTET 2021 is provided below.

- Language I is treated as English and Language II is treated as either Konkani or Marathi depending on the choice of the candidate.
- All the content questions in the exam are based on the syllabus given by the conducting body for classes I to V.

Goa TET 2021 Admit Card
The admit card for GTET 2021 will be released two weeks before the exam date on the official website of SCERT. The admit card is an important document for the candidates appearing for GTET exam. The candidates are required to take the print out of their admit card along with the original identity card to the exam centre in order to appear for the exam. Goa TET 2021 admit card consists of roll number, details about exam centre and exam date and time. The candidates are required to fill in the application number and password for downloading the admit card.

GTET 2021 Eligibility Criteria
In order to appear for the Goa TET exam, candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria decided by the conducting body. The eligibility criteria for both papers are given separately below.
Academic Qualifications
PAPER 1
- A graduate degree with minimum 50% is compulsory. OR
- Class 12th pass with at least 50% and passing/appearing in the final year of a 2-year diploma in Elementary Education are also eligible for GTET 2021. OR
- Passed class 12th with at least 45%and passing/ appearing in the final year of a 2-year diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE regulations, 2002. OR
- Candidates who have passed class 12 with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
- Those who have passed class 12th with 50% marks and passed/appearing 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
PAPER 2
- The candidates who are either graduated or appearing in the final year of a 2-year diploma in elementary education. OR
- Candidates with at least 50% in graduation and passed or appearing in Bachelor of Education (BEd). OR
- Candidates passed in Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appeared in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
- Graduation with 45% marks and passed/ appearing in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in accordance wth NCTE OR
- Passe lass 12th with 50% makrs and passed/ appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
Reservation Criteria
There is 5% relaxation for the reserve categories as per the State Government.
Goa TET 2021 Application Form
The candidates are expected to fill the application form correctly in order to avoid any further inconvenience. The detailed procedure of applying for Goa TET 2021 is given below.
- Go to the official website of SCERT and click on the link for GTET 2021 application form.
- Fill in the details including name of the candidate, date of birth, father’s name, email ID, phone number etc.
- After the authentication form is filled completely, candidates need to fill the main application form as instructed.
- Before submitting the form, candidates are expected to check all the details carefully.
- The candidates have to upload the scanned images of their passport sized photograph and signature.
- After this, candidates are redirected to the confirmation page where they need to read all the data carefully and click on ‘I agree’ to proceed for the payment.
- After this, applicants have to submit the exam fees. The fees can be submitted online by Debit Card/Credit Card/ Net Banking. The exam fees according to the category and type of paper are discussed below.
