HP TET Eligibility Criteria 2021

HP TET Eligibility Criteria 2021: The official notification for HP TET November exam is now available. Candidates can check HP TET eligibility criteria by visiting hpbose.org.in. Himachal Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test (HP TET) is conducted by H.P. Board of School Education. HP TET is conducted twice a year – June and November. To apply candidates have to ensure that they fulfill the required educational qualification for the examination. The eligibility prescribed by HP School Education Board for each course is mentioned below. For the detailed information of HP TET Eligibility Criteria for all posts check the article below.

HP TET Eligibility Criteria 2021

Interested candidates must fulfil the HP TET required eligibility norms. The HP TET eligibility criteria for different courses of this exam is different. Candidates can read the HP TET eligibility criteria for November 2021 exam below.

HP TET Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

TGT (Arts)

  • B.A or B.Com with minimum 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
    OR
  • B.A or B.Com with a minimum of 45% marks ( for those who have passed B.Ed up to August 30, 2009 )and 50% marks (for those who have passed B.Ed after August 30, 2009) 1 year B.Ed in accordance with NCTE regulations.
    OR
  • Senior secondary (12th) or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks and 4 years of Bachelor in elementary education (B.El.Ed).
    OR
  • Senior Secondary (12th) or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks and 4 years B.A.Ed.
    OR
  • B.A or B.Com with a minimum of 50% marks and 1 year in B.Ed (special education).

TGT (Non-Medical)

  • B.SC (non – medical) with a minimum of 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
    OR
  • B.Sc (non-medical) with a minimum of 45% marks (for those who have passed B.Ed up to August 30, 2009) and 50% marks (for those who have passed B.Ed after August 30, 2009) 1 year B.Ed in accordance with NCTE regulations.
    OR
  • Senior Secondary (12th) or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
    OR
  • Senior Secondary (12th) or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and 4 years of B.Sc (non-medical)Ed.

TGT(Medical)

  • B.Sc (medical) with a minimum of 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

  • B.Sc (Medical) with a minimum of 45% marks (for those who have passed B.Ed up to August 30, 2009) and 50% marks (for those who have passed B.Ed after August 30, 2009) 1 year B.Ed in accordance with NCTE regulations.
    OR
  • Senior Secondary (12th) or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
    OR
  • Senior Secondary (12th) or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and 4 years of B.Sc (medical)Ed.
    OR
  • B.Sc (medical) with a minimum of 50% marks and 1 year B.Ed (special education).

Shastri

  • Shastri with a minimum of 50% marks from an institution/University recognized by the Himachal Pradesh Government.

Language Teacher

  • B.A with Hindi (elective subject) and 2 years of diploma in elementary education.
    OR
  • BA with a minimum of 50% marks with Hindi as an elective subject and 1 year diploma in Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
    OR
  • BA with a minimum of 45% with Hindi as an elective subject and 1 year B.Ed in accordance with the NCTE regulations.
    OR
  • Honours in Hindi (Prabhakar) with a minimum of 50% marks followed by BA exam (English and one additional subject) with a minimum of 50% from a recognized university and 1 year B.Ed.
    OR
  • B.A with a minimum of 50% marks with Hindi as an elective subject and 1 year B.Ed (special education).
    OR
  • MA (Hindi) with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized University and 1 year B.Ed.

Junior Basic Training (JBT)

  • 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university or board and should have two years JBT certificate course from a Central or State govt. recognized institute.
    OR
  • Senior secondary (12th) or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and 2 years diploma in elementary education.
    OR
  • Senior Secondary (12th) or its equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks and 2 years diploma in elementary education in accordance with NCTE regulations.
    OR
  • Senior Secondary (12th) or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% and 2 years diploma in elementary education (special education).
    OR
  • Senior Secondary (12th) or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% and 4 years diploma in Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
    OR
  • 2 years diploma in elementary education with a graduation degree.

Punjabi Language Teacher

  • B.A with Punjabi (elective subject) and 2 years of diploma in elementary education.
    OR
  • BA with a minimum of 50% marks with Punjabi as an elective subject and 1 year diploma in B.Ed.
    OR
  • BA with a minimum of 45% with Punjabi as an elective subject and 1 year B.Ed in accordance with the NCTE regulations.
    OR
  • MA (Punjabi) with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized University and 1 year B.Ed.
    OR
  • B.A with a minimum of 50% marks with Punjabi as an elective subject and 1 year B.Ed (special education).
    OR
  • Giani with a minimum of 50% marks followed by BA exam (English and one additional subject) with a minimum of 50% from a recognized university and 1 year B.Ed.

Urdu Language Teacher

  • B.A with Urdu (elective subject) and 2 years of diploma in elementary education.
    OR
  • BA with a minimum of 50% marks with Urdu as an elective subject and 1 year diploma in B.Ed.
    OR
  • BA with a minimum of 45% with Urdu as an elective subject and 1 year B.Ed in accordance with the NCTE regulations.
    OR
  • MA (Urdu) with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized University and 1 year B.Ed.
    OR
  • B.A with a minimum of 50% marks with Urdu as an elective subject and 1 year B.Ed (special education).
    OR
  • B.T with a minimum of 50% marks followed by BA exam (English and one additional subject) with a minimum of 50% from a recognized university and 1 year B.Ed.

Relaxations

  • Candidates belonging to the SC/OBC/ST/PHH categories of the state of Himachal Pradesh can avail the relaxation up to 5% in minimum educational qualification and also in minimum qualifying marks.
  • Candidates who are pursuing any of the teacher eligibility education program in its final year (specified in Gazette of India notification dated August 25, 2010) are also eligible to apply for TET examination.

Note: Only those applications who fulfill HP TET eligibility criteria can apply for HP TET 2021.

About HP TET

Himachal Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test (HP TET) is conducted by Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE). Each year, HPBOSE conducts HP TET twice – in June and in November. To apply for HP TET, candidates must fulfil the HP TET eligibility criteria prescribed by the Board. The courses for which HP Teachers Eligibility Test is conducted are – TGT (Arts), TGT (Medical), TGT (Non-Medical), Shastri, Language teacher, Urdu language Teacher, Punjabi language Teacher, Junior Basic Training. The examination for HP TET is conducted in offline mode. There will be no negative marking in HP TET.
