Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala has released the notification for the Himachal Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test 2016. HP TET 2016 is for JBT, Shastri, TGT (Arts), TGT (Non-Medical), TGT (Medical) and Language Teacher Eligibility Test. HP TET 2016 shall apply to a school of the HP / State Government / local authority. Few schools has option of considering either the TET conducted by the State Government or the TET conducted by the Central Government. How to Apply for HP TET 2016
Step 1: Click on Register link and fill the Online Application Form. The candidate should supply all the details while filling the online Application Form and no columns shall be kept vacant. After successful submission of the data, Application number will be generated and it will be used to complete the remaining steps of the Application Form and also required for all future correspondence. For subsequent logins, candidate will be able to Sign In directly with his/her respective system generated Application Number and Date of Birth.
Step 2: Candidate must upload his / her scanned images of Photograph and Signature.
Step 3: Candidate has to print Fee Challan Voucher. The candidate can take the printout of this Challan to the nearest bank branch. On this Challan Voucher candidate’s pre-printed particulars alongwith Bank A/c No. etc. and system generated Application No. would be available to the candidate. The Examination Fee can be deposited by the candidate from any of the nearest Bank to the Board’s Bank A/c.
Step 4: After depositing the fees, candidate is required to enter the fee transaction and other fee details to be supplied by the branch concerned in the fourth part of the Application Form and Finally Submit the Application Form.
Step 5: After Final Submission of the Online Application Form, candidate will take printout of his/her Application Form, and after taking the printout will affix same copy of his/her passport size photograph which has earlier been scanned and uploaded by the candidate in the application form. The candidate after affixing the photograph will put his/her signature on the downloaded application form and send it alongwith Receipt of Fee Challan Deposited to the S.O (Departmental Examination Branch), HP Board of School Education, Dharamshala (Kangra)-176213 by post or submit it directly at the counter of the Board office.
HP TET 2016 Highlights
- Candidates can apply online for Teachers Eligibility Test – 2016 on the Board website as per the schedule.
- Examination Fee is Rs. 800/- for General and its Sub-Categories (except PHH) and Rs. 500/- for OBC/ST/SC/PHH Categories.
- Information regarding the applications of candidates received with fees will be uploaded on the Board’s website www.hpbose.org. The candidates can check their Application for candidature and candidate particulars on the website.
- The Admit Cards will be uploaded on the Board website. The Candidates will be able to download / print the Admit Cards for entrance to Examination Centre. The Admit Card will not be sent to Candidates separately by post.
- The result of HP TET 2016 will be announced in the month of Nov / Dec 2016.
For TGT (Arts): BA / B.Com with at least 45% marks (only for those who have passed B.Ed. upto 30.08.2009) and 50% marks (for those who have passed B.Ed. after 30.08.2009) 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 4 years B.A.Ed.
For TGT (Non-Medical): B.Sc (NM) with at least 45% marks (only for those who have passed B.Ed. upto 30.08.2009) and 50% marks (for those who have passed B.Ed. after 30.08.2009) 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). / 4 years B.Sc.(NM)Ed.
For TGT (Medical): B.Sc. (Medical) with at least 45% marks (only for those who have passed B.Ed. upto 30.08.2009) and 50% marks (for those who have passed B.Ed. after 30.08.2009 ) 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). / 4 years B.Sc.(Medical) Ed.
For Shastri: Shastri with at least 50% marks from an institution/University recognized by H.P. Government.
For Language Teacher: Any of the following
- BA with Hindi as an elective subject and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education / 1 year B.Ed
- BA with Hindi as an elective subject with 45% marks & 1 year B.Ed / 50% marks & 1 year B.Ed SE
- Prabhakar (Honours in Hindi) with 50% marks followed by BA Examination (English and one additional subject) with 50% marks and 1 year B.Ed
- MA (Hindi) with at least 50% marks and 1 year B.Ed.
For Junior Basic Training (JBT): 10+2 with 50% marks and should possess two years JBT certificate course. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks & two years Diploma in Elementary Education / 45% marks and in accordance with the NCTE / 4-years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) / 2-years Diploma in Elementry Education (Special Education) OR Graduation and two years Diploma in Elementary Education.
There shall be one question paper in four different series having questions of multiple-choice/objective type, carrying 150 questions of one mark each to be attempted within 150 minutes. There shall be 60% minimum qualifying marks. There shall be no negative marking.
The question booklet will be set and supplied in bilingual i.e. both in English and Hindi. The question papers for Shastri will be partly in Sanskrit and partly in Hindi. The question papers preferably be bilingual (English & Punjabi). The question paper for Punjabi/Urdu language teacher will be in Punjabi/Urdu/English only.
Structure of TET
More about HP TET 2016
Validity: The TET qualifying certificate would remain valid for appointment for 7 years from the date of issuance of TET certificate. There will be no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a TET certificate. A person who has qualified TET may also appear again for improving his/her score.
Applicability: TET shall apply to a school of the H.P./State Government/local authority referred to sub-clause (i) of clause(n) of section 2 of the RTE Act and a school referred to in sub-clause(ii) of clause(n) of section -2 of the RTE Act in the State. A school referred to in sub clause(iv) of clause(n) of section-2 of the RTE Act may exercise the option of considering either the TET conducted by the State Government or the TET conducted by the Central Government.
Age Limit: There is no upper age limit to apply for the TET. The age criteria are to be considered by the appointing authority at the time of appointment as per R & P Rules.
