IBPS RRB 2019 – Application forms for IBPS RRB 2019 are available on ibps.in. IBPS will conduct preliminary exam for Officer Scale I and Office Assistants on 03, 04, 11, 17, 18, and 25 Aug 2019. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) invites application for Regional Rural Banks (CRP RRBs VIII). Application fee of Rs. 100 is applicable to SC/ST/PWD candidates. Candidates belonging to general/other categories need to pay Rs. 600/-. This recruitment is for Group “A”- Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group “B”- Office Assistant posts. The online application will open in the first week of June.

IBPS RRB 2019

IBPS has recently announced the date for Preliminary, Single, & Main Examinations. The body will soon open an online application for interested candidates. Single examination for Officer Scale II and III will take place on 22 Sept 2019. Candidates who applied for Office Assistant position will appear for the main exam on 29 Sept 2019, after clearing Preliminary exams. Following are the IBPS RRB 2019 exam dates are as follows:

Eligibility Criteria for IBPS RRB Recruitment 2019

Before going ahead with the application form, a candidate needs to make sure he/she is eligible for the examination. IBPS has listed criteria to make it easy for candidates to check their eligibility. Following are the criteria for eligibility in IBPS RRB 2019 examination:

  1. Nationality/Citizenship of a candidate

A candidate should be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan. A Tibetan Refugee (who arrived in India before 1st January 1962) is also eligible to fill the application. Person of Indian origin who have migrated to India and plan to permanently settle down in India are also welcome to fill the application form.

3. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (Reservation)

Persons with benchmark disabilities are eligible for reservation under section 34 of The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. Following categories are mentioned under the Act:

  • Blindness and low vision
  • Deaf and hard of hearing
  • Locomotor disability like cerebral palsy. leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy
  • Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability, and mental illness

4. Educational Qualifications & Experience (as on or before 04.07.2019)

To be eligible for the IBPS RRB 2019 examination, a candidate needs to have educational qualifications from Government approved university / institution / board. Check the following for more details about qualification:

Preferred degree in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing & Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, or Accountancy. Officer in a bank or financial institution with 2 years experience.
Officer Scale-II – Specialist Officers (Manager) Information Technology Officer: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Communication/Computer Science/Information Technology or its equivalent. A minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP, etc is desirable. 1 Year
Officer Scale-II – Specialist Officers (Manager) Chartered Accountant: Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. 1 Year
Officer Scale-II – Specialist Officers (Manager) Law Officer: Degree from a recognized University in Law or its equivalent. A minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. 2 years as an advocate or should have worked as a Law Officer in Banks or Financial Institutions.
Officer Scale-II – Specialist Officers (Manager) Treasury Manager: A Chartered Accountant or an MBA in Finance. 1 Year
Officer Scale-II – Specialist Officers (Manager) Marketing Officer: MBA in Marketing. 1 Year
Officer Scale-II – Specialist Officers (Manager) Agricultural Officer: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Dairy, Animal Husbandry, Forestry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, or Pisciculture. A minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. 2 Years
Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager) Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. A minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preferred Degree/Diploma in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing & Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, or Accountancy. Minimum 5 years of experience as an officer in a bank or financial institutions.

Admit Card for IBPS RRB 2019

IBPS will release call letter or admit card for RRB 2019 in two phases. The admit card for the preliminary exam will be out by July. Candidates need to regularly check the website for the latest updates. Call letters will not be sent through the post. Intimation regarding the call letter will be shared on the registered mobile number and email ID. Admit card or call letter for IBPS RRB is the most important document. This document contains the exam date, details about the candidate, time, and center. Candidate needs to visit the official website to download the letter. It is recommended to take a print of the IBPS RRB admit card.

Result for IBPS RRB 2019

Every phase in IBPS RRB examination is followed by a result. This motivates a candidate to perform better in the next phase. All results are released online for IBPS RRB. IBPS will first release the result of Preliminary examination. This is followed by the release of the main examination result. The process is concluded by releasing the result of the interview phase. Selection Process of IBPS RRB 2019

For IBPS RRB recruitment, the selection process consists of 2 phases. The first phase of the examination will take place online. The online examination is conducted in Hindi or English medium.

a. Selection Process for Recruitment

Selection method laid down by IBPS is very simple and easy to follow. Candidates just need to remember important dates. Here is the selection process:

For the post of Office Assistant:

  • First, one needs to clear the preliminary examination
  • A candidate will appear for the main examination
  • After qualifying the main examination, a candidate will appear for the common interview phase

For the post of Officers Scale I:

  • The prelim-qualifying candidates will appear for the main examination
  • Shortlisted candidates from the main examination will appear for interview round
  • Last round will be coordinated by Nodal Regional Rural Banks, under the guidance of NABARD and IBPS

For the post of Officers Scale II and Scale III:

  • Candidates will appear for single online examination
  • Shortlisted candidates from the single examination will appear for common interview

Online Examination Structure of IBPS RRB

As the name suggests, the candidates will appear for an online-based examination. This will consist of objective-style questions. This 80 marks exam will last for 45 minutes. Following is the structure:

This is the first stage of the IBPS RRB examination. Following are the subjects covered in the exam:

2. Interview

This is for the position of Officers (Scale I, II and III). Candidates will be called for the interview round after clearing the main examination. The Nodal Regional Rural Bank under the guidance of NABARD and IBPS will coordinate the interviews. Information related to the center, address of the venue, and time & date of interview will be on the official website. The candidate needs to download the call letter for more information. The interview is allocated 100 marks in the qualification process. Other important information is as follows:

  • Minimum qualifying marks / scores in an interview for Officers Scale I, II and III is  40% (35% for SC / ST/OBC/PWD candidates).
  • The relative weight-age (ratio) will be 80:20. IBPS will consider the scores of CWE and interview.
  • Candidate needs to carry documents on the day of the interview
