SBI PO — the Recruitment of Probationary Officers in State Bank of India — is conducted by the State Bank of India (SBI) to recruit for Probationary Officer in State Bank of India. The CRPD/PO/2026-27/09 cycle declares 1,500 in total — 1,446 regular vacancies (588 UR, 390 OBC, 216 SC, 108 ST, 144 EWS) plus 54 backlog vacancies (18 SC, 36 ST).

Only Phase-II and Phase-III count. The Preliminary Examination is a screening test and its marks are discarded once you are shortlisted.

Document verification

Originals are checked against everything declared in the application — qualification, category, age and any relaxation claimed. Certificates must be in the prescribed formats and dated on or before the closing date of the application. A candidate found ineligible at this point loses the candidature regardless of score.

What is next for SBI PO

Phase-I was held in August 2026 and its result was declared on 28 August 2026; Phase-II, the Main Examination, was held on 12 September 2026. The Main Examination result was declared on 14 October 2026; Phase-III has the Psychometric Test on 31 October 2026 and Group Exercise & Interviews from 18 November 2026, with the final result expected in November / December 2026.
