IBPS RRB 2017 is also referred to as IBPS RRB CWE VI, IBPS RRB CWE 6, IBPS RRB 6. They all refer to recruitment process by IBPS for Regional Rural Bank in 2017-2018 through common written examination 6. IBPS RRB 2017

  • Officer Scale I and Office Assistant – For these two posts, there will be preliminary exam + main exam; then only for Officer scale I there will also be interview.
  • Officer Scale II, III – There will be a single examination + interview for these two posts. Also for them, work experience as defined in in IBPS RRB 2017 notification is compulsory.

IBPS RRB Eligibility 2017

Candidates who are interested in one or more posts in IBPS RRB 2017 CWE 6 need to first check their eligibility. Eligibility criteria of IBPS RRB 2017 involves nationality, age, educational qualification, work experience. If candidates are eligible then they can go to ibps.in and apply. If at any stage the exam conducting body or banks come across ineligible person then candidature of that applicant can be rejected.

Nationality – Candidate can be citizen of India or subject of Nepal / Bhutan or refugee from Tibet who came to India before 01 Jan 1962 with intention of settling or PIO migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries. A candidate who is eligible from nationality point of view without being an Indian citizen must have certificate of eligibility issued by Government of India.

Age limit – There is upper as well as lower age limit for each of the posts. Note age limit for IBPS RRB 2017 CWE 6 from table below.

Office Assistant 18 to 28 years (born between 02.09.1989 and later than 01.09.1999)
Officer Scale I 18 to 30 years (born between 03.09.1987 and later than 31.08.1999)
Officer Scale II 21 to 32 years (born between 03.09.1985 and later than 31.08.1996)
Officer Scale III 21 to 40 years (born between 03.09.1977 and later than 31.08.1996)

There is age relaxation for SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwD (10 years).

Educational qualification – For the educational qualification fulfilled, applicant needs to have relevant documents/certificates in support of the same. Office Assistant Degree in any discipline from recognized university. Desirable – knowledge of computer skills.
Officer Scale I Degree in any discipline from recognized university. Preference to – Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy. Added qualification – Computer knowledge.
Officer Scale II General Banking Officer Degree in any discipline with 50%. Preference to – Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.
Officer Scale II Specialist Officer IT Officer
Degree in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology with 50%. Desirable – Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP.

Officer Scale III Degree in any discipline with 50%. Preference to – Degree/ Diploma in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Co-operation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.

IBPS RRB 2017 Selection Procedure

The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of entrance examination and interview round. The entrance exam will be held in two tier. The Tier 1, will be the Preliminary examination and the Tire 2 will be called as Main exam. However, for the post of Officer Scale II and III, only a single exam will be held. It will be conducted with the IBPS RRB Main examination.

  • Hence, Prelims and Main is for Officer Scale I and Office Assistant.
  • Where, Single exam is for the Post of Officer Scale II and III.

Following the Main and Single examination the interview round will be held. After the interview round, the final selection of the candidates will done.

IBPS RRB Application Form 2017

The procedure to submit the application form of IBPS RRB 2017 is as mentioned below. The candidates may do so by just following the steps below:

Registering Online – Firstly, the candidates will have to register. To do so, the candidates will have to submit Name and basic contact details, like the e-mail id and mobile number.

Filling the Application Form – After this, the candidates will be required to submit the details in the application form of IBPS RRB 2017. The details to be submitted will be personal and education related. The candidates will also be required to upload their Photograph and Signature in the application form.

The specification for the Photograph and Signature are as below:

  • 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm recent photograph should be affixed on the application form. Retain multiple copies of the same photograph as it will be needed in the various stages of recruitment.
  • Dimensions for Photograph: 200 x 230 pixels (preferred) – File size should be between 20kb–50 kb. Ensure that size of the scanned image is not more than 50kb.
  • Dimensions for Signature: 140 x 60 pixels (preferred) – File should be between 10kb – 20kb. Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 20kb.
  • Signatures should not be in CAPITAL LETTERS.

Payment of Application Fee: Lastly, the candidates will have to submit the application fee. The fee amount will be as mentioned below. It can be submitted through Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, IMPS, Cash Cards. Mobile Wallets.

IBPS RRB Admit Card 2017

Admit Card – It will be issued to candidates who will successfully submit the application form online. The Preliminary examination Admit Card and Main Examination Admit Card will be issued separately.

Venue, date and time of the examination, personal details like Name of the applicant, Roll no./User ID, Password will be mentioned in the admit card. It is mandatory to carry the admit cards for the written examination. No candidate will be allowed to sit for the examination without it.

Note: Along with admit card, candidates need to bring a photocopy of identity proof such as PAN Card, Driving License, Voter’s Card, Passport, Bank Passbook

Call Letter – Candidates who will successfully clear Main Examination will receive call letter. Information about the issuance of call letter will be intimate to the candidates via mail and SMS too.

IBPS RRB Examination Pattern

The examination will be conducted online mode for different posts. It is as mentioned below:

  • The question paper will be available in two medium Hindi/ English, candidate may choose accordingly.
  • All the questions will be of objective type.

IBPS RRB VI Result 2017

The result of IBPS RRB is announced online only. It will be announced through a pdf, which will contain the names of the qualified candidates. The SSC will also announced the score of the candidates, in Pre and Main paper but that will take place after a certain period of time.

IBPS RRB 2017 Interview

Interview round will be conducted for only those candidates who will qualify IBPS RRB 2017 examination. The date, time and venue for the interview will be provided in the call letters. Interviewee can download their call letter from IBPS official website.

The interview round shall be of 100 marks in total. Minimum qualifying marks, required to qualify the interview round are as follows:

  •        Not less than 40% for all categories except for SC/ST/OBC/PWD the minimum qualifying marks are 35%.
  •        For Officers Scale II and III minimum qualifying marks will also be not less than 40% for all categories except SC/ST/OBC/PWD the minimum qualifying marks for clearing the interview will be 35%.
