Indian Army 127 TGC Jul 2018 Recruitment has been announced. Candidates from engineering background may apply for the Technical Graduate Course from October 24 to November 22, 2017. The selection of the candidates in TGC will be done on the basis of candidates performance in Engineering. The shortlisted candidates will be allocated a Selection Center, after which they will be required to book a date for SSB. The detailed selection process is mentioned below. Eligibility Criteria of TGC Jul 2018

The candidates will only be recruited if they will fulfill the eligibility criteria of Indian Army TGC 2018. The criteria are as below:

Age Limit: The applicant must fall within the age bracket of 20 to 27 years, as on July 01, 2018.

  • This means that the candidate should have been born between July 02, 1991 to July 01, 1998 (both the dates inclusive).
  • Only Matriculation Certificate or equivalent certificate will be accepted as the proof of birth.

Marital Status: Candidates must be an unmarried male.

Nationality: The candidates should be the citizen of India.

  • However, the candidates from Nepal, Bhutan, Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East Africa, Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Tibetian refugee may also apply.
  • The candidates from above nations must have the intention to permanently settle in India and must possess the certificate of eligibility, issued by the Government of India.

Education Qualification: Candidates should have done Engineering degree course.

  • The candidates in final year may also apply. However, they need to produce proof of passing engineering course by July 01, 2018.
  • They will also be required to submit the degree certificate within 12 days from the start of training at IMA.

Physical Standard to be Fulfilled: The following standards will be ensured during SSB but the candidates should know these in advance.

Height & Weight: The minimum limit for the height is 157.5 cms. However, the following is applicable:

  • For candidates belonging to the North East and hilly areas like Gorkhas, Nepalese, Assamese and Garhwalis, the height will be relaxed by 5 cms.
  • candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height can be reduced by 2 cms
  • The height has to be in-corelation with the weight.
  • Overall, candidates must be physically health and in good shape.

Selection Procedure for Indian Army TGC July Recruitment 2018

To select the applicants for SSB, the Indian Army determines a cutoff percentage. Engineering aspirants who surpass it are called for the at Selection Center and then for SSB interview round.

Cutoff for Indian Army TGC 127: The cutoff for shortlisting the candidates will be announced later on. The candidates can check the Previous Year cutoff for Indian Army TGC 127 to get an idea about the minimum percentage as per which candidates will be shortlisted for SSB.

Selection Center: The selection centers are allocated in Allahabad, Bhopal, Bangalore, Karnataka, Kapurthala where candidates are interviewed by the Psychologist, Group Testing Officer, and Interviewing Officer.

  • After the interview, the selected candidates are sent call letter by the selection center.
  • It is sent to the registered e-mail/mobile number.

SSB Interview: Candidates selected at the center then have to appear for Service Selection Board (SSB) interview. It is a five-day task. The candidates who will clear SSB will be called for the Medical Examination. The qualifying candidates of medical examination will be finally recruited.

Medical Examination

A candidate recommended by the Services Selection Board will undergo a medical examination by a Board of Service Medical officers. Only those candidates will be admitted to the academy who are declared fit by the Medical board. The proceedings of the Medical Board are confidential and will not be divulged to anyone. However, candidates declared unfit by the Special Medical Board (SMB) will be intimated by the President of the Medical Board.

The procedure for request for Appeal Medical Board (AMB) will also be intimated to the candidates. Unfit candidates should report for AMB within a maximum period of 42 days from the date of SMB. Candidates declared unfit by AMB will be intimated by the President, AMB about procedure to challenge decision of AMB. Candidates must also note that Review Medical Board (RMB) will be granted at the discretion of DGAFMS based on the merits of the case and that RMB is NOT a right. Candidates will be considered medically fit only on receipt of the approved Medical documents from Directorate General Medical Services.
