RPF SI Selection Process

RPF SI selection runs through the following stages, each of which must be cleared in sequence.

1. Computer Based Test (CBT)
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
3. Document Verification (DV)
4. Medical Examination

RPF Sub Inspector is the graduate-entry officer route into the Railway Protection Force. The pattern mirrors RPF Constable, but the standard of questions is set to degree level and the pay is Level 6 rather than Level 3.

Cut offs are published as normalised marks scaled to 100, separately for male, female and ex-servicemen candidates within each category.

Document Verification

Original certificates are checked against the details declared in the application — qualification, category, age and any fee concession claimed. Certificates must be in the prescribed Annexure formats, and a certificate issued after the application closing date is not accepted.

Medical Examination

RPF posts carry physical standard requirements for height, chest and weight alongside the medical category, and these differ for male and female candidates.

Empanelment

Candidates who clear every stage are placed on a panel published by their RRB, from which appointments are made against the notified vacancies.
