RPF SI Result: CEN RPF 01/2024 Final Panel, August 2025

The RPF SI recruitment under CEN RPF 01/2024 is complete: the final panel for Sub-Inspector (Executive) came out on 26 August 2025, with 384 male and 66 female candidates provisionally empanelled. The CEN had notified 452 posts (384 male, 68 female). No new RPF SI recruitment had been notified as of 27 October 2026, so there is no result pending.

Is a new RPF SI result expected?

Not until a fresh recruitment is held. The Railway Protection Force (Amendment) Rules, 2025, dated 17 October 2025 and published in the Gazette of India (Extraordinary) on 21 October 2025 as G.S.R. 766(E), provide that direct recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in the Executive Cadre shall follow the recruitment procedure of the Staff Selection Commission for the Central Armed Police Forces. The RRB notice board still lists only CEN RPF 01/2024 and RPF 02/2024 for RPF posts. The last RPF 01/2024 notices, dated 16 and 28 September 2026, dealt only with re-processing failed exam-fee refunds, with bank details to be updated on rrbapply.gov.in by 3 October 2026.

Stage 1: CBT result (shortlist for PET/PMT)

The CBT result of 3 March 2025 shortlisted 4,527 candidates for PET/PMT, listing roll numbers in ascending order, not in order of merit. The CEN sets the shortlist at 10 times the vacancies in each category for Male, Female and Ex-Servicemen, with at most two rounds of PET/PMT if a category falls short. The normalised cut-off marks (scaled to 100) came out the same day, separately for male, female and Ex-Servicemen candidates.

Your own marks were in the score card, viewable from 6 March 2025 by logging in with your Registration No. and Date of Birth. The CEN provides for normalisation of marks when the CBT is held in multiple shifts, so merit is based on normalised marks, not raw marks.

Stage 2: PET, PMT and DV

PET and PMT are qualifying only, with no marks awarded. For CEN RPF 01/2024 they were held from 22 June to 2 July 2025; the schedule notice of 3 June 2025 named Jagjivan Ram RPF Academy, Lucknow as the venue, with DV on the same day for those who qualified. If Female or Ex-Servicemen vacancies remain unfilled after the second round of PET/PMT, they go to male candidates of the same category.

Stage 3: Final panel

The panel of 26 August 2025 was drawn up from CBT performance, PET, PMT and Document Verification. It lists roll numbers in ascending order, not in order of merit, separately for female and male candidates. In the women category, one SC post and one OBC post were kept vacant for two pregnant candidates who were in the merit in their communities and whose PET/PMT was pending. The normalised cut-off marks of empanelled candidates were published the same day. If two candidates have the same marks, the older one ranks higher. If the date of birth is also the same, ascending alphabetical order (a to z) decides.

After the result: zone allotment, medical and training

1. Zone allotment: the panel notice asked candidates to watch their registered email, SMS and the RRB website for updates on zone allotment and the medical examination.
2. Appointment: the Recruitment Committee only recommends names; appointment is offered by the respective Zones/RPSF, subject to medical fitness, verification of certificates and of character and antecedents, and training.
3. Training: selected candidates undergo initial training with only a stipend, and must pass the final examination at the end of training to be appointed to the Force.
