RRB ALP Syllabus 2018 is different for first stage CBT, second stage CBT, and aptitude test. Candidates must know syllabus in order to prepare for RRB ALP 2018 exam. Thus complete syllabus is available here for quick reference. There are also separate cut-offs for each section. Moreover, you should try to score high, and not just cut off marks, to increase chances of qualifying for its following stage. Assistant loco pilot applicants will appear in first stage CBT, second stage CBT, as well as aptitude test. Whereas Technician applicants will appear in first stage and second stage CBT. Part B
This part is qualifying in nature and shall have questions from the trade syllabus prescribed by Director General of Employment & Training (DGET). Candidates with ITI/Trade Apprenticeship qualification will be required to appear in the section having questions from the relevant trade. Candidates holding Degree, Diploma and HSC (10+2) having eligibility for the posts of ALP have to select relevant trade from the list of trades listed against their engineering discipline/HSC (10+2). How to prepare for RRB ALP 2018 First Stage?
Now that exam details are out, it is time to start preparing. Very many candidates are bound to apply, so be ready for a tough competition. Your first hurdle will be to clear first stage CBT.
First and foremost, know the syllabus. It is given here on this page (see above). Write it down in a place or print it.
As can be seen in the syllabus or RRB ALP 2018, paper will have 75 questions on mathematics, general intelligence and reasoning, general science, and current affairs. It is similar to what many other government job exams of 10+2 level or after ITI have.
- Mathematics – Practice a large number of questions on all topics given in RRB ALP syllabus 2018.
- General intelligence and reasoning – Here you need a good presence of mind and observation skills. Solve questions that are on series, puzzles, statement-arguments, and other topics from syllabus. You will see that a certain skill-set can be developed to crack these questions easily.
- Science – Paper should not be very tough for science. Study class 10 science book like NCERT science class 10 thoroughly. Remember facts and figures, and practice one-liner questions as well as MCQs.
- Current affairs – Read newspaper daily. Also read facts of science and technology, sports and other topics in RRB ALP syllabus 2018.
