RRB NTPC Selection Process 2021
The candidates appointed for the post which comes under RRB NTPC 2021 are required to undergo four stages given below.
(i) Stage 1 Computer Based Test – For All Posts
(ii) Stage 2 Computer Based Test – For All Posts
(iii) Stage 3 Skill Typing Test / Aptitude Test – Only For the Posts given below:
- Computer-based Aptitude Test – for Station Master and Traffic Assistant, Typing
- Skill Test – for Junior, Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, and Senior Time Keeper.
(iv) Stage 4 – Document Verification
Computer Based Test Stage 1: All the candidates who are willing to take part in the recruitment process have to appear for the CBT 1. Based on the marks secured by the candidates in the CBT Stage 1 qualified candidates are called for the CBT 2. The first CBT tests candidates’ ability to solve the questions related to aptitude from the subjects like Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness.
Computer Based Test Stage 2: Based on the normalized marks obtained by the candidates in the CBT stage 1 candidates will be shortlisted for the CBT 2. The number of candidates shortlisted for the second phase is 20 times the number of vacancies. There will be a total of 120 questions for which candidates will get 90 minutes. As per the post applied, candidates will be called either for the skill test or directly for the DV round.
Skill Test / Computer-Based Aptitude Test Stage 3: Candidates who have applied for the post of Traffic Assistant and Station Master will have to appear for the Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT). The number of candidates shortlisted for this round is 8 times the number of vacancies. In this round, candidates have to qualify each of the test battery. There shall be no negative marking in the exam.
Candidates applied for Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Time Keeper have to take the typing test. In this round, candidates are required to have a certain typing speed to clear this round. For English and Hindi candidates should have 30 WPM and 25 WPM respectively.
Document Verification Stage 4: As per the candidates’ performance in CBT stage 1 and 2 and CBAT, candidates equal to the number of vacancies are called for the Document Verification round. 50% more candidates are called for this round as the standby list. No extension of the days will be given under any circumstances. This round is conducted to check that the candidates are eligible to be appointed for the post or not.
Medical Exam Stage 5: Candidates shortlisted for the DV round have to pass the medical exam which will be conducted at the Railway Hospitals. The medical standards for all the posts range from A2 to C2, depending on the visual acuity standard. It is mandatory for the candidates to pass the medical fitness test to be eligible for the final appointment.
RRB NTPC Cut Off 2021
The qualifying percentage for both the CBT stage 1 and 2 is the same. It is compulsory for the candidates to secure the qualifying marks to be eligible for the next round. Candidates can check the table below to know the cut off marks category-wise.
