In the wake of COVID-19, which is now declared a pendamic by WHO, many exams are postponed but not SSC CHSL 2020. Short Service Commission has decided to move ahead with their pre-decided, 12 days, schedule of SSC CHSL 2020, i.e March 17, 2020 to March 28, 2020. Commission has released the new notification right before the exam. This notification carries the vital Do’s and Dont’s, keeping the prevalent situation in mind.

Precautions From COVID-19 During SSC CHSL 2020
Through the notification, SSC has made some changes in the attendance protocol. Not just that, modification has also been done in the items that are allowed in the examination hall.

Note: The changes prescribed through the notice are temporary and not the permanent one.
What does the Notice say On Special Facilities?
We have explained the points mentioned in the notice, in a simple language. Have a look at them:
No Bio-Metric Registration
Candidates are not required to do registration through Bio-metric. Though they have to give the thumb impression on Attendance Sheets and the Copies of the Commission, mandatorily.
Donning the Face Masks Allowed in Exam Hall
Aspirants are allowed to wear the masks in the examination hall. They will be asked to take out their masks at the Registration Desks, to get photographed.
Important to Note: Photographs taken at the registration desk will be used for the purpose of verification by the Commission, in later stages of exam.
It’s OK to Carry the Hand Sanitizers
See through bottles of hand sanitizers are allowed. These sanitizers should be carried in small bottles, which are transparent. Do not carry bottles that are not transparent, in order to avoid unnecessary frisking and wastage of time.
Ball Pen with Transculent Outer Cover
It is clearly stated in the notice that the ball pen that a candidate is carrying, should have the transparent outer body, no other pen will be allowed in the examination hall.
Important Instructions to Service Providers
Not just that, Commission has also asked their service providers to take extra care of sanitization and cleaning. They have to ensure the timely cleaning of the objects that are used frequently, such as door handles, tables, mouse, keyboards etc. All this has to be done before the shift starts (all three).
