The Special Assam TET 2026 e-admit card was released at 11:00 a.m. on 12 June 2026 on sebaonline.org, and the written exam it was issued for was held on 28 June 2026. The admit-card stage of this cycle is over; question booklets and final answer keys have since been published, scanned OMR sheets were offered to candidates on payment, and the result is the next step.

Where and how the e-admit card was downloaded

The notification of 5 June 2026 from the State Level Empowered Committee (TET) put the e-admit card on the website of the Assam State School Education Board, Division-I (erstwhile SEBA), www.sebaonline.org. Candidates logged in with the Application No. and Password they used while filling the form. For technical problems the committee gave a toll-free number, 8042303631, working 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on working days.

This was a targeted test: Paper I (Lower Primary, classes I to V) and Paper II (Upper Primary, classes VI to VIII) for Bodo, Garo, Manipuri and Hmar medium schools, with Language-I in one of those four languages. The question paper itself could be in Assamese, Bengali, Bodo or English.

Check your centre district

Each candidate chose a single centre district in the online form. The advertisement of 6 January 2026 listed seven: Cachar, Dibrugarh, Kokrajhar, Kamrup, Kamrup Metro, Hojai and Sonitpur. A corrigendum of 28 January 2026 added Dhemaji, Goalpara, Karbi Anglong, Tamulpur and Dima Hasao, and gave applicants an edit option from 11 a.m. on 12 February 2026 to 5 p.m. on 19 February 2026 to change their district.

What candidates had to carry

  • A hard copy of the e-admit card, and a valid photo identity card issued by the Government in physical form, such as an Aadhaar card, PAN card, driving licence or voter ID card.
  • PwBD candidates: a certificate from the Competent Authority or the District Commissioner, as the case may be.
  • Allowed inside the hall: blue or black ball-point pen, pencil, scale, eraser, a transparent water bottle without labels, one handkerchief, not more than one plastic card such as a debit or credit card, driving licence and a minimum amount of cash.
  • Not allowed: mobile phones even when switched off, smart or digital watches, health bands, electronic pens or scanners, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, calculators, pen drives and bits of paper. Centres had no safe-custody arrangement for such items.
  • Candidates also had to follow every instruction printed on the admit card itself.

Paper format and timing

Each paper had 150 multiple-choice questions of one mark each and lasted 2½ hours (150 minutes). Visually impaired candidates were allowed an additional 20 minutes per hour. There was no negative marking.

After the exam

Keep your Application ID and password: the same login was used for the post-exam services. The portal for scanned OMR answer sheets ran from 11.30 a.m. on 6 July 2026 to 25 July 2026 at ₹50, and the provisional-key objection portal opened at 1:00 p.m. on 15 July 2026 and ran to 28 July 2026. All six question-booklet sets (A to F) for both papers are on the Special Assam TET 2026 page.
