Special Assam TET Result 2026: Status, Final Keys, Pass Marks

The Special Assam TET 2026 result has not been published yet. As of 27 October 2026 the official Special Assam TET 2026 page carries the final answer keys for Paper I (LPT) and Paper II (UPT) of the 28 June 2026 exam, but no result notice. The Important Dates table above will show the result date once the State Level Empowered Committee (TET) notifies it.

What has happened since the exam

• Scanned OMR answer sheets were offered from 11.30 a.m. on 6 July 2026 to 25 July 2026 for ₹50, with an SMS sent within one week of applying, after which the sheet could be downloaded with the same login.
• Provisional answer keys for all six booklet sets of both papers were posted at 11:30 a.m. on 15 July 2026.
• Objections were taken online from 1:00 p.m. on 15 July 2026 to 28 July 2026 at ₹500 per question, refundable if the expert committee upheld the challenge. An objection without justification was treated as null and void, and the committee's decision is final.
• Final answer keys for both papers are now on the official page.

Will you qualify? The two-part rule

The result is judged against fixed qualifying marks set in the advertisement. Each paper is out of 150, with one mark per question and no negative marking, so you can check yourself against the final key for your booklet set.

• General: at least 60% overall (90 out of 150) and at least 60% in the Language-1 section (18 out of 30).
• SC, ST (Hills), ST (Plain), OBC, MOBC and PWD (PH): 55% overall (83 out of 150) and 50% in Language-1 (15 out of 30).

The Language-1 condition matters because this special test was held to meet the shortage of Language-1 teachers in Bodo, Garo, Manipuri and Hmar medium elementary schools. A high overall score with Language-1 below the bar does not qualify.

The certificate and how long it lasts

The certificate is issued by the Empowered Committee, TET, Government of Assam. Unless the Government notifies otherwise, it stays valid for life from the date of issue.

What the result does and does not give you

• Qualified candidates can take part in the recruitment process for elementary teacher posts, provided they hold the other NCTE qualifications, and only in the State of Assam.
• Qualifying gives no right to appointment; recruitment in Government and Provincialised schools is a separate process as and when vacancies arise.
• No documents were checked at the TET stage. They are verified during the teacher engagement process, and a candidate who made a false claim about qualifications is criminally liable.
