In accordance with the Postman Recruitment Rules 2010 / Mail Guard Recruitment Rules 2010, Andhra Pradesh has released these vacancies. The recruitment will be done through an entrance test which includes aptitude questions of level class 10th.

Application Form
Andhra Pradesh Postal Circle has released application form to fill up the 245 posts in Postman and Mail Guard. Application form is available at official website. Interested candidates can apply for the same by visiting the official website as application form is available only in online mode. The candidate can register his / her application for only once and if a candidate registers more than one application online, his / her candidature is liable to be rejected without any communication. The applications are to be submitted online only. Manual applications will not be entertained.

Note: Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances. Fee paid thriugh any mode other than ePayment in post offices, will not be accepted/refunded.
Mode of Payment: To pay the application form fee and examination fee, candidate have to approach any of the Head Post Offices as prescribed below in Andhra Pradesh state to produce Fee payment challan printed by him & to pay the fee is cash only.
How to Register / Apply Online
Steps to submit the online Application is given below.
Step 1: The candidate has to register by filling the details including standard information i.e. Name, Date of Birth, Community, gender, Education qualifications, Mobile number, Email ID etc.
Step 2: Once the filling of application is completed in the first step, the candidate should submit the data by clicking on the SUMBIT button at the end of the registration.
Step 3: After successful registration, the candidate will receive a Unique Registration Number (URN) on given mobile number and email ID for further login. The candidate has to use the registration number and DOB for login to the website where he / she can take out the print out of the fee payment challan in triplicate to enable him / her to pay the fee.
Step 4: The candidate has to pay the prescribed fee in any of the list of Head post offices given above. After depositing the fee, the applicant will receive one e-payment receipt from the post office. After confirmation of fee payment, the candidate will access to fill up online application form.
Step 5: Now, the candidate has to login to the website with registration number and date of birth and fill in the remaining columns such as post / division applied for, preferences for examinations center, SSC education details, uploading of photo & signature.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications: For both Postman and Mail Guard, Matriculation from any recognized Board or University is needed.
Age Limit: For General Category (Unreserved Candidates) – 18 to 27 Years
Permissible relaxation of upper age limit as per Government of India orders as indicated below.
Examination Scheme
The candidates shall be subjected to an Aptitude Test with a total of 100 marks of the level pf 10th standard covering the following subjects / topics. The Aptitude Test is objective type comprising of following four parts. There is no negative marking. Duration of Examinations is 120 minutes (2 Hours).

Admit Card
Hall ticket or Admit card will be issued by the Andhra Pradesh Postal Circle. Hall ticket for candidates who will apply on before last date will be available online. Candidates can download the same by visiting the official website. No admit card will be sent through post to any candidate. Candidates must note that no TA / DA will be paid for attending the examination. The candidates are advised to visit this page from time to time for further information regarding admit card.
Exam Centers
The examination centers identified for conducting the examination online are viz., Kurnool, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. The candidate should mention the order of preferences for these three centers while registering the application through online.
Selection Procedure
Based on the marks obtained in the Aptitude Test, a merit list of qualified candidates will be prepared in each Postal / RMS Division separately. As per the availability of vacancies as notified above, selection will be made in the respective Division based on the merit list among the candidates applied for that particular Division.
Result
Andhra Pradesh Postal Circle will release the result of entrance test conducted for the recruitment of candidates for the post of Postmen & Mail Guard in Andhra Pradesh State. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks scored by the candidates in entrance exam. Result will be declared in the form of merit list. This merit list will be released online at official website. Candidates who are going to appear in the entrance exam can check their result status whether they qualify the exam or not.
Probation Period
The candidates selected will be appointed and will be on probation period for two years. Training will be imparted to the selected candidates. Any person appointed to the post specified shall be liable to serve in Army Postal Service in India or abroad, as required.
