Overview of AP TET
School Education Department, AP holds the responsibility to conduct the examination for Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test. Andhra Pradesh TET is a state-level eligibility examination. This examination serves as the eligibility criteria for the appointment of teachers. Candidates have to take two papers – Paper 1 and paper 2. Paper 1 is conducted for the teachers of class I to class V. Similarly, Paper 2 is organized for the teachers of class VI to class VIII. Applicants have to qualify the examination by securing minimum 60% marks in the examination.

AP TET 2020 Eligibility Criteria
The Department of School Education sets out the complete eligibility criteria for candidates to apply for the AP TET 2020 exam. In this context, the information brochure contains the eligibility complete set of educational qualifications required for the exam.

AP TET 2020 Application Form
The AP TET 2020 applications can be made online at the official website i.e. cse.ap.gov.in. Candidates must be eligible to apply for the exam. Besides, they must have unregistered email id and mobile number to apply online. However, the online applications can be made only during the scheduled dates through payment of the application fee. The specified fee is Rs 500 for each paper.
The Department of School Education indicates the list of documents to upload during online application form. Candidates must upload a recent photo and signature at the application form. Besides, they must also provide the mobile number and email ID to register and apply.
AP TET 2020 Admit Card
The Department of School Education issues the AP TET 2020 admit card before the release of the exam. Candidates can download the hall ticket from the official website cse.ap.gov.in. They require the candidate id/mobile/aadhar number & the date of birth to open and download the hall ticket. AP TET 2020 Hall Ticket is released by the Department before the exam. All Andhra Pradesh TET 2020 candidates must download and print out the admit card when released as entry into the exam hall is not allowed without the admit card.
AP TET 2020 Exam Pattern
AP TET exam consist of two papers viz. Paper-I & II (A&B). Paper I is for those who aspire for recruitment as primary teacher (Class I to V) and Paper-II is for those who aspire to be an elementary teacher (Class VI to VIII). However, candidates who desire to be eligible for both levels must appear and qualify in both Paper I & II. - Language: Question papers will be bilingual (English and Language I chosen by candidates for all Languages except Sanskrit. Those who chose Sanskrit will get paper in Telugu followed by Sanskrit).
- Exam mode: The exam is conducted online through a Computer Based Test (CBT).
- Number of questions: There are 150 questions in each paper.
- Type of questions: All questions are MCQ type
- Duration: Time allowed for each paper is 2.5 hours.
- Negative marking: There are no provisions for negative marking in AP TET 2020

AP TET 2020 Syllabus
Department of School Education releases the AP TET 2020 Syllabus at the official website along with the official notification. Important points about syllabus of Paper I
- CDP section will have questions on educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant for primary classes.
- Language I and II syllabi tests your proficiency, knowledge of language elements, communication, comprehension, all upto class X.
- Mathematics and EVS syllabi consist of topics from class I to V. However difficulty and linkages of topics could be up to class X.
Important points about syllabus of Paper II-A, II-B
- CDP section will have questions on educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant for elementary level for II-A, and physical education pedagogy of II-B will also be for elementary level.
- Language I and II syllabi shall assess your proficiency, knowledge of language elements, communication, comprehension, all upto class XII.

AP TET exam is conducted to determine candidate’s eligibility for recruitment as teacher. Certificate is awarded to those candidates who achieve the minimum qualifying marks in the exam. However, this has nothing to do with any teacher recruitment. Qualifying in the AP TET 2020 exam does not promise any recruitment.
