Final Medical Exam Date Announced
The final medical examination of successful candidates who cleared a descriptive written test to commence from September 14, 2020. Candidates must bring the admit card and self-declaration (undertaking) regarding COVID-19.

BSF Head Constable Admit Card 2019
The candidates who submit the application form in time for admit is issued by the BSF at the official website. The candidates can fetch the admit card by using online mode only. The candidates can fetch the admit card by providing the login credentials on the login page. The admit card usually contains the name of the candidates, exam name, exam timing, roll number father’s name, photograph, signature, etc. It is mandatory for all the candidates to carry a hard copy of the admit card and one valid id proof on the day of the examination.

First Phase Exam Pattern (Written Exam i.e. OMR based)

Note: In order to qualify the examination the Gen/OBC candidates have to obtain minimum 38% marks and SC/ST/PWD/Women category candidates need to obtain 33% marks. However, the number of candidates who qualify the screening test and further to be selected for the next phase will be restricted to 20 times the number of vacancies for recruitment post.

Third Phase (Descriptive Test)
Total Marks: 150
Exam Duration: 2:30 hours
Marking Scheme: 2.5 marks will be deducted for each mistake in a singal letter.
5 marks will be deducted for each word mistake.

For ASI / RM Test: The examination duration will be 3 hours in which questions from PCM, Logical Reasoning and Electronic subjects will be asked. The paper will be of total 200 marks.
Note: In order to qualify the descriptive test Gen / OBC candidates and SC / ST candidates have to a minimum obtain 38% and 33% aggregate marks.
Fourth Phase (Medical Examination)
The candidates who qualify all the above stage of the examination those are called for medical examination. In the medical examination candidates, whole body check is done and is conducted by the BSF Medical board of Officer.
The candidates who declared un-fit those can apply for re-medical examination to IG (Comn & IT), HQ DG BSF New Delhi. Within 15 days days from the date of issue of the memorandum applicants can apply for the re-medical examination. The candidates applying for the re-examination those have pay Rs 50/- as fee in the form of demand draft (DD) which should be prepared in the favor of DDO, FHQ BSF New Delhi and will be payable at New Delhi.

BSF Head Constable Recruitment 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as on June 12, 2019):
- General Category Candidates – The candidate’s age must be 18 to 25 years old.
- OBS Category Candidates – The applicant’s age should not less than 18 years and not above than 28 years
- SC / ST Category Candidates – The candidate’s age should be 18 to 30 years old.
Upper Age Relaxation –
The candidates serving for BSF and Constable (GD/Tradesman) for 3 years on a regular basis as on the last date of submission of the application form are also given age relaxation.

The candidates should have passed 10th standard and should have done two years of industrial training institute certificate (ITI) in Radio and Television or, Electronics or, computer operator & Programming Assistant or, Data Preparation & Computer Software general Electronics or, Data Entry Operator from a recognized Institute. Or
Should have qualified 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized Board or University or Institution as a regular student by scoring minimum 60% aggregate marks in PCM.
Academic Qualification for Head Constable (Radio Mechanic)
The candidates should have passed 10th standard and should have done two years of industrial training institute certificate (ITI) in Radio and Television / General Electronics / computer operator & Programming Assistant / Data Preparation & Computer Software / Electrician or Fitter / Info Technology & Electronics System mainte_nance or, Com Equipment Maintenance or, Computer Hardware or, Network Technician or, Mechatronics or, Data Entry Operator.
