Qualification Criteria For The Candidates Applying For Classes I-V: Primary Stage

From below candidates can read the Qualification Criteria For The Candidates Applying For Classes I-V: Primary Stage. Candidates applying for paper 1 those should fill the below-mentioned criteria.

  • The candidates who have passed the 12th standard by scoring minimum 50% marks from the recognized board those will be eligible. The applicants who have passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education can also apply.

    or

  • The applicants should have passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with 45% marks or He/she appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE are eligible to apply.

   or

  • Having Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) degree qualified by scoring at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).

    or

  • Qualified 12th by scoring  50% marks and qualified or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)

 or

  • Having a Graduation level Degree with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).

Qualification Criteria For The Candidates Applying For Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage

From below candidates can read the Qualification Criteria For The Candidates Applying For Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage. Candidates applying for paper 2 those should fill the below-mentioned criteria.

  • Qualified Graduation and qualified or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

      or

  • Graduation by scoring at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

      or

  • You should have at least 45% marks in Graduation and should have passed appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education in congruence with NCTE.

         or

  • Should have passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent by scoring at least 50% marks and qualified or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).

   or

  • Candidates must have passed the 12th by scoring 50% marks and have passed or appearing in the 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

Important Points Related to CTET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

  1. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled those will given the 5% relaxation in the qualifying marks in the minimum Educational Qualification.
  2. Having a Diploma or Degree in teacher education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) will be considered and in case of Diploma in Education and B.ED, a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only will be considered.
  3. The candidates with D.Ed (Special Education) or qualification will undergo, after appointment, an NCTE recognized 6-month Special Programme in Elementary Education.
  4. Above described qualification criteria will be applied to the teachers of Languages, Social Studies/Social Science, Mathematics, Science etc.
  5. A person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses recognized by the NCTE or by the RCI, specified in the NCTE Notification dated July 29, 2011, will be eligible for appearing in the CTET.
