How to calculate the marks from CTET Answer Key?
The procedure to calculate marks through the answer key is very easy. In CTET there are 150 questions of 150 marks. And there is no provision for negative marking.
- For calculating the score the candidates just count the number if questions which are correct and that would be the total estimated score.
CTET Paper 1 Syllabus
The candidates are advised to check the syllabus for Paper-I from the below points:
Subject- CDP: This subject will contain 30 questions. The topics on this subject will be of Child Development (Primary School Child), The concept of Inclusive education and understanding children with special needs, and Learning and Pedagogy.
Subject- Language I: This subject will contain 30 questions. The topics on this subject are:
- Language Comprehension: It will contain 15 questions related to Reading unseen passages – two passages one prose or drama and one poem with questions on comprehension, inference, grammar and verbal ability.
- Pedagogy of Language Development: It will contain 15 questions. For this subject, there are various topics under it. The topics are:
- Learning and acquisition
- Principles of Language Teaching
- Role of listening and speaking, the function of language and how children use it as a tool
- Critical perspective on the role of grammar in learning a language for communicating ideas verbally and in written form
- Challenges of teaching language in a diverse classroom, language difficulties, errors and disorders
- Language Skills
- Evaluating language comprehension and proficiency: speaking, listening, reading and writing
- Teaching-learning materials: Textbook, multi-media materials, a multilingual resource for the classroom
- Remedial Teaching
Subject- Language – II: It will consist of 30 questions. the topics on this subject are:
- Comprehension: There will be 15 questions. Two unseen prose passages with the questions on comprehension, grammar, and verbal ability kind of topics will be asked in this.
- Pedagogy of Language Development: It will contain 15 questions. For this subject, there are various topics under it. The topics are:

About CTET 2018
The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), is for the candidates who want to avail Teacher Eligibility Certificate in Primary Level and Upper Primary Level. The CTET 2018 is being conducted after 02 years. Last time the examination was conducted in 2016. Since then the examination was not conducted. The exam will take place in 92 cities all across the country in 20 subjects.
The Teacher Eligibility Certificate is applicable for seven years after the date of result declaration. The CTET qualified candidatse can apply in the Central Government schools like Kendriya Vidyalaya and other schools under control of the UTs consider. The candidates can get the Eligibility Certificate from the official website of ctet.nic.in. In case the candidate lost their certificate then they get the duplicate certificate by paying pay a certain fee of Rs. 200 (+Rs. 35 bank charges). The amount of fee can be paid via Demand Draft, in favour of Secretary Central Board of Secondary Education.
