Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) is a Central Public Sector Undertaking which comes under the administrative control of Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. It is a premier Warehousing Agency in India and was established during 1957 as one of the biggest public warehouse operators.
CWC is having 436 Warehouses across the country which provides a storage capacity of 9.89 million tonnes. It deals in the various warehousing services with a wide range of products ranging from agriculture produce to sophisticated industrial products. Along with the storage and handling services, it also provides services in the area of clearing & forwarding, transportation, procurement & distributions, disinfestation services, fumigation services etc.
