Delhi Post Office Result – Check Delhi Post Office Result 2016-2017 of re-exams held in the month of September. Delhi Postal Circle is known as the backbone of Indian communication. The postal services had conducted Postman / Mailguard recruitment exam on 21 December 2014 and 4 January 2015 against 740 total number of vacancies. Due to unspecified issues, the authorities had to cancel those exams. The Delhi Post Office exam was re-held on 10, 11, 24, and 25 September 2016.

The candidates who have successfully appeared for the exam can now check their result for the DELHI POST OFFICE RECRUITMENT 2017.

Steps to check result:-

  • Visit the site www.delhi.postalcareers.in.
  • Go to “news section”
  • Click “DELHI POST OFFICE RESULT 2017” when they are announced.
  • Download result
  • Take a print out on a plain sheet of paper.

NOTE- Please note that the result is scheduled to be released on 18 March 2017.

Selection Process

As per now, the students are informed that until the official notice arrives, the selection process may be remain same as it was mentioned in the old advertisement dated on 05-07-2016.

In the event that there are any changes in the selection process, the candidates will be informed when the notice is published.

(i) Selected candidates will be offered government job in Indian Post services of Delhi Postal Circle.

(ii) Delhi Postal Circle will indicate the respective departments in which the candidate has been allotted position.

Qualifying Marks / Criteria

A candidate will be required to attain the prescribed qualifying marks. Please note that this criteria is based on the previous advertisement. Therefore the matter is case sensitive. There may be any changes in the selection process. For example the percentage as per the category to be able to qualify in the examination may change in future.

The minimum qualifying marks to be obtained as per the old advertisement:-

Unreserved candidates(OC) 40% marks
OBC 37% marks
SC/ST 33% marks

Please note that merely achieving or satisfying the qualifying criteria does not guarantee you a position in the organization. The selection will purely be made on the merit basis for which the marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination(aptitude test) will be drawn in separate list category wise. It is further stated that if there is a tie between two candidates in the merit list at the last for positions left then the person senior in age will be allotted the seat.

Merit List Preparation for Delhi Post Office

Preparation of merit list

The candidates are informed that a common merit list will be put together for the post which will be based on the whole Delhi Circle and the following shall be prepared in respect of all categories of post. For the said purpose candidates will be required to mention or indicate their preference of the Post and Divisions/Unit. The aforesaid is done during the online application form filling. The candidates are then allotted the posts and the divisions as per their preference. candidates who do not get the allocation in any of the post of his preference, such candidates may be sent to the places where the vacancy exists. The candidates will have to provide an undertaking in written form that they are willing to be posted in any division of the organization.if the candidate do not indicate their preference, in such cases it will be presumed that they comply to the discretion of the organization.

Probation Period – The candidate will be on a probation period of 2 Years. This probation period is the most important part of the recruitment. During this period a candidate will be tested for his dedication and loyalty towards the organizational goals and growth of the organization.

Training – The candidates will also receive training as prescribed. The candidates must fulfill this training with all respects.

Following information is relevant to Delhi Postal Circle Recruitment of Sportsmen. For the purpose of selection scheme of Postman / Mailguard Re-Exam 2014, please refer to old notification.

  • Candidature of all candidates is provisional. Selection is subject to candidates satisfying all conditions that were prescribed in notification. India Post, Delhi Postal Circle will take into consideration all rules while offering job.
  • Selected candidates have to present required certificates for age, category, sports qualifications, in prescribed format issued by concerned authorities.

List of authorities competent to award certificates on eligibility for recruitment of sports persons

  • International Competition – Secretary of the National Federation of the Game concerned.
  • National Competition – Secretary of the National Federation or Secretary of the State Association of the Game concerned.
  • Inter University Tournaments – Dean of Sports or other Officer in overall charge of sports of the university concerned.
  • National/sports/Games for Schools – Director or Additional / Joint or Deputy Director in overall charge of sports/games for schools in the Directorate of Public Instructions / Education of the State.
  • Physical Efficiency Drive – Secretary or other Officer in overall charge of Physical Efficiency in the Ministry of Education and Social Welfare Government of India.
