DRDO RAC Admit Card 2020 – The Recruitment and Assessment Centre, RAC releases the admit card for the written examination for the recruitment of 290 Engineer/Scientist ‘B’ vacant posts. Shortlisted candidates can download their admit card for the Descriptive Examination (Only for Part‐I disciplines) /call letter for interview respectively along with its venue, date & time after successful registration through the RAC website. Those candidates who are going under the descriptive examination can download their hall tickets from the official website. Intimation in this regard shall be sent as SMS on the registered mobile number of the candidate. The Candidate is required to mention only his/her own mobile number and e-mail id as all information/ communication will be sent by RAC on the registered mobile number and e-mail ID. - Click on the link given this page for direct access (the link will be updated once released).
- In order to download the hall ticket/admit card, you need to use your login credentials.
- After accessing the portal click on the “login for already registered candidates”
- Now enter your credentials like registration number, password & security code.
- Then, click on the “login” button to proceed next.

Details of the descriptive Examination
The written examination shall be of a descriptive type, consisting of two papers of 300 marks each, to be conducted in two sessions of a duration of three hours each. The Descriptive Examination Syllabus (downloadable from the RAC website) is similar to the Engineering Services Examination (Main) in the relevant discipline conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The Descriptive Examination takes place in a paper-based format.
The Descriptive Examination is likely to take place in October 2020. Tentatively, the Descriptive Examination was conducted at DRDO centers in seven cities (Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Kolkata, and Pune) as well as other common centers where appropriate. Applicants are required to indicate their first and second preference of the examination center in the online application form among the centers listed. However, RAC reserves the right to allocate any center on the basis of its administrative convenience.
Screening /Shortlisting
- For Subjects/Disciplines in Part‐I :
- Category I – Eligible candidates will be shortlisted for a Descriptive Examination on the basis of valid GATE score in the ratio of 1:25, subject to their GATE score not being below 25% of the GATE score of the first shortlisted candidate.
Category II – All eligible IIT and NIT graduate engineers with minimum 80% aggregate marks in the EQ degree will be called for a Descriptive Examination - Candidates who appear for the Descriptive Examination will be further shortlisted for Personal Interview in the ratio of 1:5 in order of merit list prepared on the basis of the Descriptive Examination only.
- Category I – Eligible candidates will be shortlisted for a Descriptive Examination on the basis of valid GATE score in the ratio of 1:25, subject to their GATE score not being below 25% of the GATE score of the first shortlisted candidate.
- For Subjects/Disciplines in Part‐II: Eligible candidates will be shortlisted for Personal Interview on the basis of valid GATE score in the ratio of 1:5 subject to their availability in order of discipline‐wise category‐wise merit list.
- Eligible PwD(HH) and PwD(OH) candidates will be shortlisted for Personal Interview on the basis of valid GATE scores only, for the three vacancies reserved for them in the * marked disciplines under Part‐I and Part‐II.

A. The email/sms imitation are auto generated and will be sent to all the registered number and email id. However in some case, if the candidate does not receive it they should download the admit card directly from the official website.
