The selection for DSSSB Teacher Recruitment will be done through 1 tier test. Howevver, the selection for the junior engineer will be done on the basis of 2 tier examination. DSSSB Recruitment 03/19 Syllabus and Exam Pattern for Tier-1 exam is similar for all the posts. To qualify the exam the candidate must clear the minimum marks as decided by the board. The 2 hour exam will be divided into 2 sections.

DSSB Recruitment 03/19 Syllabus (Tier 1)
The syllabus for Tier-1 exam syllabus is given as follows:
1.General Awareness: The candidate’s knowledge in general awareness will be checked in this section. The candidate must be aware about the various current events nationally as well as internationally. The questions will be as per the following topics:
- Art & Culture
- Everyday Scence
- Scientific Research
- National/International Organizations /Institutions etc.
2. General Intelligence and Reasoning Ability: The general intelligence and reasoning ability consists of both verbal as well as the non-verbal type of questions. Following are the topics covered in this section
- space visualization,
- problem solving,
- decision making,
- visual memory,
- arithmetical reasoning,
- verbal and figure classification,
- number series etc.
3. Arithmetic and Numerical Ability: The arithmetic and numerical ability will cover the questions on the following subjects:

- Simple & Compound Interest,
- Time & Work,
- Time & Distance,
- Tables & Graphs etc.
4. Hindi Language & Comprehension and English Language & Comprehension: The language section for English, as well as Hindi, will analyse the candidate’s grip on the understanding of the following topics:

- Antonyms and its correct usage etc.
Part-B: Part-B will consist of objective type questions from the concerned subject as per the qualifications.
