IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern 2021

IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern 2021 – IBPS Clerk Examination (preliminary and mains) is an annual national level exam conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). Eligible candidates can get the exam pattern at the official website: ibps.in. This test is conducted to recruit clerks in participating banks. The IBPS Clerk exam will be held in two stages namely Preliminary and Main. The candidates who qualify the preliminary exam will be shortlisted for appearing in the main examination. Candidates should read the entire article to check the eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus and mark distribution.

As mentioned earlier the exam pattern consists of two stages: preliminary and mains. To appear for the main examination candidates are required to qualify in the preliminary examination. The rank list will be issued based on the marks obtained for the main examination alone. The cut off marks will be set on the basis of the number of banks participating and vacancies reported. The exam pattern for IBPS Clerk Exam in detail is provided below. 

Preliminary Exam 

  • Mode of exam: Online 
  • Duration of exam: 60 minutes 
  • Type of questions: multiple choice question(MCQ) format.
  • Total marks: 100 marks 
  • Number of questions: 100 questions 
  • Marking scheme : one mark for every right answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for wrong answers.

  • Marking scheme : one mark for every right answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for wrong answers.

About IBPS Clerk Exam 

The IBPS Clerk Exam is held annually by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. Candidates must be of the minimum and maximum ages of 20 and 28 respectively (age relaxation for reserved categories as mentioned in the official notification is applicable) to be able to apply for this examination. To be eligible, candidates must have a Degree or Graduation in any discipline from a University recognised by the government of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The application fee for the IBPS Clerk Exam is ₹175 for SC/ST/PWBD/EXSM category candidates and ₹850 for general and all other category candidates.
