IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of IBPS Clerk has to be followed by all the candidates. Ineligible candidates will not be granted admission.
Nationality: The candidates should be a citizen of Indian. However, the residents of the Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam can also apply who intended to settle in India permanently.
Age Limit: The age of the candidate should be between 20 to 28 years, as on September 01, 2019.
Educational Qualification: The candidates should possess a Graduation Degree from any recognized Institute.
- Computer Literacy – Candidate must have operating and working knowledge in computer systems. For this, Certificate / Diploma / Degree in computer operations / Language / should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School / College / Institute.
- Proficiency in the Official Language of the State / UT – Candidate must be able to read, write and speak the official language of state or UT. Apply for vacancies in that state of which you know the language.
IBPS Clerk Selection Process
Under IBPS Clerk the candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of competitive examination. The process of shortlisting the candidates is as below:
- First, the candidates need to undergo the Preliminary examination.
- Then, the qualifiers of the Prelims have to appear for the Mains exam.
- Those who pass the Main exam need to undergo the interview round for the final recruitment.
IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern
It is advisable that the candidates must go through the exam pattern first and then start the preparation as per it. The pattern of the Preliminary and Main examination is as mentioned below.
IBPS Clerk Preliminary Exam Pattern: The candidates need to attempt 100 questions of 100 marks within a duration of 60 minutes. Candidates can choose the language English / Hindi as per their preference.

IBPS Clerk Main Examination Pattern: The pattern of the Main examination has been changed. Instead of 200, the candidates need to now solve 190 questions. Students are going to get 160 minutes for the exam.

Negative Marking in IBPS: The negative marking is applicable in both the examinations. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

IBPS Clerk Admit Card 2019
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection releases the IBPS Clerk admit card 2019 for all the three phases separately. The SC / ST category students are also eligible to get the pre-exam training call letter. The admit card is available in online mode at the official website of the IBPS. The admit card is not sent to the candidates via post. O the day of the exam, candidates must carry the admit card in a printed format along with valid id proof. As no candidates can enter the exam hall without the necessary documents.
IBPS Clerk Result 2019
The IBPS Clerk result is announced in online mode at the official website. The result of the IBPS Clerk is released separately in the four phases. First, the result of the prelims is published. After that, the eligible candidates who undergo the mains exam can check the result. The score in the mains result is considered as the final merit. the candidates who pass all the stages are then eligible for the final appointment.
IBPS Clerk Salary 2019
The candidates who clear all the stages are going to be eligible for the basic pay as well as additional allowances. The pay scale of clerk cadre is Rs 11,765 – 42,020. At the time of the training, the basic pay is Rs 11,765. The allowance s which will be added to the IBPS clerk salary is given below.
- Dearness Allowance (DA): This allowance is revised quarterly which means in every 4 months. It is based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and can change as per the CPI rate. The dearness allowance is approximately 40% of the basic pay.
- House Rent Allowance (HRA): As per the posting of the clerk the HRA range from 6.50% to 8.50%.
- Medical Allowance: The candidates get a fix medical annual allowance of Rs 2000.
- Transport Allowance (TA) – This is approximately Rs. 425 per month.
Those who are recruited for the post of the clerk get In-hand salary of around Rs 19,461 to Rs. 22,000.
