What is KSET, and what are KSET Results?

Karnataka State Eligibility Test results, commonly known as K-SET, indicates the list of qualified candidates for Lecturer, and Assistant professorship.

In order to be declared qualified in the K-SET Result, candidate must have obtained minimum marks in each paper, and be in the top 15% in the merit list.

University of Mysore is the exam conducting body for the Karnataka SET 2017, and it declares the K-SET 2017 cut offs, and other result criteria.

When will KSET Result 2017 be declared?

Result of KSET 2017 is made available after calculating marks scored by all test takers in the the test. Through this exam only Lectures and Assistant Professors are appointed to colleges of Karnataka. Mysore University has some KSET cutoff mark range for each candidate, because by lowest amount marks only candidates can attend next round. How to check KSET Result 2017

  • Applicant first log on the official website i.e. kset.uni-mysore.ac.in
  • On the home page, you get a “KSET Result 2016-2017” link and click on it.
  • After then fill all the necessary details enter your Roll Number.
  • Check it carefully and submit it.
  • As you submit, your result will be displayed on the computer screen.
  • Save it and take a print out it’s for future reference.

Merit List

This will comprise the following steps for considering a candidate for the eligibility for lectureship/Assistant Professorship:

Step 1: The candidates are required to obtain minimum marks separately in Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III as stated below:

Step 2: A merit list will be prepared subject-wise and category-wise using the aggregate marks (from all the three papers) obtained amongst the candidates who have scored minimum marks prescribed in each paper as stated in step 1.

Step 3: From out of merit list prepared in step-2, top 15% candidates (in each subject and in each category) will be declared as KSET qualified for eligibility for Lectureship.

It may be noted that the above qualifying criteria decided by KSET is final and binding.

KSET Revised Cut Off Marks 2016-2017

The University of Mysore has released the KSET Revised Cut Off Marks / Percentage for the subjects. The Cut Off Marks defines the minimum marks to be obtained by a candidate to get qualified in Karnataka State Eligibility Test. The KSET Cut Off Marks are different for different categories, therefore, the candidates shall see the KSET cut off marks as per their respective categories.
