Maharashtra SET Exam Answer Key 2019 for Paper 1: The answer key of paper 1 will be published for each of the four sets A, B, C, D. They will have answers of 50 multiple choice questions each.
Maharashtra SET Exam Answer Key 2019 for Paper 2: Likewise, answer key of paper 2 will be available for four sets namely A, B, C, D. However a difference would be that each will have subject wise answer keys. Paper 2 answer key of SET Exam 2019 will have 100 questions of all subjects.
Challenging SET Exam 2019 Answer Key
If candidates are not satisfied the answer key, then they can challenge it online. The process to do it is online.
How to challenge answer key?
- Online feedback form will be uploaded on official website along with interim answer key.
- Candidates can click that link to reach objection login.
- Then they have to enter registered email ID and password in order to log in.
- After logging in, one can write down the objection in given format and pay requisite fees.
- After that they have to submit the same within given deadline.
Only such candidates who got admit card of Maharashtra SET Exam 2019, and appeared for exam may be able to login to challenge keys.
Fee For Challenge
Candidates have to pay Rs 1000 per question that they challenge. However, if the objection turns out to be correct, and Unipune accepts it, then they will get a fee refund. In all other circumstances, fee is non-refundable.
Candidates should refer reputed textbooks to find answers of questions before submitting objections. This is a one time process, and for a limited period of time only.
Publication of final answer key of Maharashtra SET 2019
The SET State Agency shall take a call on deciding which objections are right and which are not. Then on basis of that, they create a new answer key which is final answer key. As the name suggests, this is final key for SET Exam 2019, and there will not be any more changes in it. Calculation of marks for result will only be on basis of final SET Exam 2019 Answer Key.
Candidates may note that Unipune will not accept any more grievances with regard to final answer keys after result is out.
Calculate marks using Maharashtra SET Answer Key 2019
After exam is over, aspirants mainly want answer keys to check their answers and see how much marks they got. Therefore knowing exam pattern and marking scheme will be useful at this point.
How to calculate marks?
- First of all download Maharashtra SET Exam Answer Key 2019 from setexam.unipune.ac.in or this page.
- Make sure that code of answer key is same as that of question paper booklet code you got in exam.
- Then open the duplicate copy (carbon less copy) of OMR Sheets that you were allowed to take out with you after exam.
- Now check option number of first answer marked by you for first question.
- Then check option number of answer to first question in answer key.
- If your answer matches with answer of answer key, then mark it as correct. Otherwise if they do not match, then mark as incorrect. Else if you did not mark it at all then put it down as unattempted.
- Likewise do this for all questions in Paper I.
- Then do same for all questions in Paper II.
- After that, calculate marks as per marking scheme in exam pattern of SET Exam.

Type of questions
- Paper 1 has questions of general research that test teaching and research aptitude of candidates.
- Paper 2 has questions specific to subject.
- In Mathematical Science paper, candidates have to attempt all 100 1uestions either from Section I and II, or from Section I and III only. Those who have attempted sections II and III both will get rejected.
Now coming to marking scheme:
- Candidates get +2 for all correct answers.
- There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
- Marks are neither awarded nor deducted for unattempted questions.
Therefore one can calculate total marks as follows.
Marks in SET Exam = Total number of correct answers * 2.
Declaration of SET Result 2019 on basis of final answer keys
Unipune will evaluate papers of all test takers using final answer key of SET Exam 2019 for Maharashtra and Goa. Thereafter, result will come after putting the merit list through following steps. Candidates should know their application number they got after filling application form of Maharashtra SET 2019, in order to check result.
I. Candidates should get minimum qualifying marks overall in two papers in SET Exam. Cut off marks are as follows.

II. Then a merit list is prepared for all candidates who obtain minimum marks in both paper combined, as per above step.
III. After that, as per UGC norms, top 6% candidates who appeared in both papers and qualified as per above steps will be declared as qualified. Maharashtra SET Exam 2019 qualified candidates will be eligible for Assistant Professor.

Likewise, number of candidates who will qualify in each category is calculated.
