Maharashtra SET 2020 – The answer key of Maharashtra SET is released on January 22, 2021. Candidates can access the link upto January 29, 2021. Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) conducted the 36th MH SET to determine the eligibility of candidates for the position of Assistant Professor at Maharashtra & Goa University and Colleges. The Maharashtra State Eligibility Test is being conducted in 32 subjects in 15 selected examination cities. Maharashtra SET 2020

Overview of Maharashtra SET 2020

The overview of Maharashtra SET 2020 exam is given below:

Age Limit – To apply for the SET there is no upper age limit.

Educational Qualification – Candidates must have Master’s Degree recognized by U.G.C., in a subject of SET. Applicants with a postgraduate diploma/certificate awarded by the Indian University / Institute or a foreign degree/certificate awarded by the Foreign University / Institute.

Selection Process – Selection is based on the merit list which is prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the Paper I and Paper II.

Application Fee

  • Open – Rs. 800/-
  • OBC/SBC/DT(A)/NT(B)/NT(C)/ SC/ST/PH/VH – Rs. 650/-

How to Apply – Candidates who are eligible have to fill their Application form of Maharashtra SET Exam 2020 from the official website.

Maharashtra SET 2020 Answer key

After the examination the answer keys of all the papers releases at the official website setexam.unipune.ac.in. Candidates who are not satisfied with the response keys can challenge Rs.1000/-payment per request. If any candidate’s question about response keys is acknowledged, those candidates are reimbursed for the fee. The fee once paid will not be reimbursed in all other cases. The decision of the SET State Agency on the challenges is final and the result is prepared on the basis of the final answer keys displayed on the official website.

Maharashtra SET 2020 Result

The Savitribai Phule Pune University releases the result of Maharashtra SET 2020 on the official website. The result releases in online mode. Candidates have to select with marks or without marks option. Then, you have to enter Seat Number, Name, Birth Date and Mobile Number (as mentioned in your Online Application Form.). Along, with the result, SPPU also publishes seat numbers of qualified candidates and cut off percentages. The result is not be re-evaluated / re-checked.

Procedure for declaration of Maharashtra SET 2020 Result

It comprises of three steps process:

Step 1: Candidates are required to obtain minimum marks in both papers aggregate i.e. Paper I & Paper II on Assistant Professor eligibility as set out below:

Step 2: Among those candidates who appeared in both the papers and cleared phase I, a list of merit will be prepared subject-wise and category-wise using the aggregate marks of the papers obtained by those candidates

Step 3: According to UGC’s order, only 6 percent of the candidates appearing are eligible for Assistant Professor Eligibility (appearing means appearing in both SET papers). The State Reservation Scheme will be used to determine the category-wise eligible slots for the eligibility of the Assistant Professor.

The subject-wise and category-wise distribution of qualified slots is determined using the following formula:

Reservation

Maharashtra & Goa Government’s reservation policy applies to MH SET 2020. According to this, 7% for the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category, 13% of the seats are reserved for the Scheduled Caste (SC) category, 10% General-Economically Weaker Section (GEN-EWS), 2.5% for the category NT(B,),13% of the seats are reserved for the category SEBC, 2% for the category NT(D), 19% for the category Other Backward Classes (OBC), 2% for the category SBC, 3% for the category DT (A) VJ, belonging to the Non Creamy layer (NCL) only, 25% for the category General/unreserved.

Maharashtra SET 2020 Admit Card

The Savitribai Phule Pune University releases the admit card for Maharashtra SET 2020. The MH SET admit card has been issued on the official website of the university at set exam.unipune.ac.in. The candidates who have filled the application form can download the admit card from the official website by entering the username and password. Maharashtra SET Hall Ticket will not be sent to the candidates by post. Candidates must download and take a hall ticket printout. Candidates must bring an admit card and an additional photo identification such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter Id, etc. to the exam center on Examination Day.

A good preparation strategy plays a significant role in cracking State Eligibility Tests. Here are some important preparation tips for Maharashtra SET 2020 exam.

  • Have a proper study plan before preparations begin. Set a timeline for topics to be covered and also have the timetable so it gives time for revisions.
  • Go through the complete syllabus properly. Therefore, candidates can analyze their strengths and allocate the time needed for each section accordingly.

Maharashtra SET 2020 Exam Pattern

The SET is conducted in Objective Mode. The test consists of two papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. Both papers consist of only objective type questions and is held on the same day of Examination in two separate sessions as under.

Paper-I shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It is designed to test reasoning ability, divergent thinking comprehension, and general awareness of the candidate. Fifty (50) multiple-choice questions of two marks each is given.

Paper-II shall consist of hundred (100) objective type questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Each question carries two marks.

There is no negative marking.

Paper 1 and paper 2 has 4 sets with 4 different codes for the test booklet. A, B, C, D. Candidates must ensure that on the OMR sheet (Answer Sheet) of Paper I & II the same Test Booklet Code is pre-printed and pre-shaded.

The candidate is required to indicate the answers to the Paper-I & Paper-II questions submitted in conjunction with the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) test booklet. No corrections are allowed in the OMR sheets. The nominee shall be responsible for his / her failure in the event of corrections.

Maharashtra SET 2020 Application Form

Candidates applying for Maharashtra SET are required to pay the application fee as prescribed for the category candidate belongs to. Without payment of the application fee, Application Form submitted will not be accepted and the candidate are not able to appear in Maharashtra SET 2020. The Application Fee once paid cannot be refunded under any circumstances.

  • For Open Category: Rs. 800/-
  • For SC/ST/PH/VH/Transgender OBC/ SEBC (Belonging to Non-Creamy Layer only)/EWS/Orphan: Rs. 650/-

Note: Candidates from other states except Goa, who belongs to reserved categories, shall be treated as Open categories in accordance with the Maharashtra & Goa Governments reservation policy.

Mode of Payment

There is just one mode of payment for the Maharashtra SET Application Form 2020, i.e. Online.

Maharashtra SET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the Maharashtra State Eligibility Test 2020 must verify that they are eligible for the MH SET 2020 examinatination The prescribed eligibility criteria for the examination are listed below.

  • The candidate must have a Master’s Degree recognized by U.G.C (University Grants Commission) in a subject of SET.
  • The candidates should have obtained at least 55% overall marks, in their Master’s or equivalent examination. Relaxation will be given in this overall percentage for reserved candidates such as SC / ST / OBC / SBC / DT(VJ)/NT / SEBC / Trans-genders etc who need to score 50% for eligibility.
  • Candidates who are pursuing their Master’s degree or candidates who have appeared in the qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination are also eligible.
  • Candidates of other states (other than Maharashtra and Goa) belonging to reserved categories (like SC/ST/OBC/SEBC) shall be treated as Open/Unreserved category as per the rules of the Maharashtra and Goa States.
  • The SET Department has not set a upper age limit for candidates to apply for Maharashtra SET.
  • A candidate who has already qualified for SET in a subject may not appear in the same subject for SET again.
