Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE)
Mizoram TET (MTET) is the teacher eligibility test conducted by the Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) for classes I to VIII. The MTET 2026 exam has been rescheduled to 28 August 2026.
Mizoram TET β the Mizoram Teacher Eligibility Test (MTET) β is conducted by the Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE), Aizawl, on behalf of the Government of Mizoram. It is a qualifying test that a person must pass to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII in the Government, Deficit and Government-aided schools of Mizoram, under the Right to Education Act and NCTE guidelines. It is held in two papers:
- Paper I β for those who intend to teach classes I to V (Primary stage).
- Paper II β for those who intend to teach classes VI to VIII (Middle stage).
A candidate who intends to teach at both levels sits both papers.
MTET 2026 update β exam rescheduled
The MTET 2026 examination has been rescheduled to 28 August 2026 (Friday) (superseding the earlier notice). Paper I is held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon and Paper II from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admit cards are available on the MBSE online portal from 18 to 27 August 2026; all previously issued admit cards and roll sheets stand cancelled and new roll numbers have been assigned.
