NHB Assistant Manager Application Form 2019

Application Fee

Online payment of Rs. 500/- as non-refundable application fee for General, OBC, Ex-Servicemen, J & Domicile and 1984 riot candidates. Online payment of Rs. 50/- as non-refundable communication charges for SC/ST candidates who are applying for post 01& 02.

Note: All Candidates have to make the payment of fees online using debit card/ credit card / net banking through the link provided while filling the application form online. No other mode of payment of Fees will be accepted.

How to Apply

  • Read the official notification carefully before submitting an online application.
  • Visit the official website of the National Housing Bank i.e., www.nhb.org.in.
  • Now go to the ‘Careers with NHB’ section and click on the option “APPLY ONLINE” which will open a new screen.
  • Fill all the required details carefully in online application form.
  • Upload resized scan images like Passport Photograph, Signature, and other required certificates.
  • Submit the online application form and note down Registration ID and take a printout of finally submitted online application form.
  • Pay required application fee by using Debit Cards (RuPay/ Visa/ MasterCard/ Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.

The online examination comprises of two types of tests. The first one is the objective type multiple choice tests and the second one is descriptive type test. The exam patterns for both the tests are as follow.

  • All tests will be in English and Hindi Language.
  • All the objective questions will have multiple choices
  • Out of the five answers to a question, only one will be the correct answer.

  • Questions will be displayed on the screen of your computer.
  • Answers are to be typed using the keyboard.

The candidate will require to obtain a minimum total score (to be decided according to the number of
vacancies) in the objective test and qualify in the descriptive test for shortlisting for the Interview.

Selection Procedure

The selection process comprises of online examination and interview. The online examination is further comprised of an objective and descriptive test.

Objective Type Test:

Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score for each section of the objective test separately for shortlisting for the Descriptive test evaluation. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided for Descriptive paper evaluation.

After that, each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum total score (to be decided according to the number of vacancies) in the objective test and qualify in the descriptive test for shortlisting for the Interview.

Descriptive Type Test:

A candidate shall be required to qualify in the descriptive test, but the marks in the descriptive test will not be counted towards shortlisting for an interview or final selection.

The Scores of Online Examination will be obtained by adopting the following procedure:

  • Number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for
    arriving at the Corrected Score after applying penalty for wrong answers
  • The Corrected Scores so obtained by a candidate are made equivalent to take care of the minor
    difference in difficulty level, if any, in each of the objective tests held in different sessions to arrive
    at the Equated Scores*
  • Test wise scores and scores on total are reported with decimal points up to two digits.

*Scores obtained by candidates on any test are equated to the base form by considering the distribution
of scores of all the forms.

Note: Cutoffs may be applied in two stages:

  1. On scores in individual tests
  2. On Total Score
