The GATE 2018 aspirants may apply for PGCIL Recruitment through GATE 2018 from January 05, 2018. The candidates need GATE Registration Number to apply, which they are allocated through the admit card. The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of GATE Score followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview. PGCIL Executive Trainee Recruitment 2018
PGCIL Executive Trainee Recruitment 2018 Selection Process will consist of marks obtained (out of 100) in the corresponding paper of GATE paper. The pay scale of the selected candidates will be around Rs. 24900-50500, for the first year. After completion of a year, the candidates will be promoted to Engineer post their CTC will be:

- After Training Rs. 15.0 lakhs

Number of Vacancies Under PGCIL Executive Trainee Recruitment 2018
The number of vacancies under Power Grid Recruitment through GATE 2018 will be announced later on. Last year, there were total 172 vacancies for the post of Executive Trainees out of which 103 were of Electrical discipline, 21 for Electronics, 26 for Civil and 22 for Computer Science. PGCIL Executive Trainee Eligibility Criteria
The candidates will have to satisfy the entire eligibility criteria or they will not be selected. The eligibility norms are as mentioned below.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 28 years, as on December 31, 2017
Educational Qualification: The candidates must possess an engineering degree in the following streams. The candidates in final year may also apply. However, they need to ensure that do secure a CGPA of 65% and their course ends until August 14, 2018.

The candidates will have to apply online for the Power Grid Recruitment through GATE 2018. While submitting the application form, the candidates will have to enter the following:

PGCIL Executive Trainee Selection Process
The selection process for Power Grid Recruitment through GATE 2018 will consist of the marks obtained by the candidate in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2018, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates need to follow the selection process as given below:
- Candidates with valid GATE 2018 scores will only be considered as eligible for the next stages of selection.
- Qualified candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their normalised marks out of 100 in GATE 2018, in the corresponding paper.
- Candidates will get their status information through their login at the Power Grid Online Application System. Shortlisted candidates need to download their call letter and other important documents for the interview.
- The candidates need to qualify the Personal Interview for the final selection with the qualifying percentage as given below:
Each stage will carry the respective weightage which will be as follows:

Weightage of Different Parameters
For calculation of final score of a candidate for empanelment, the weightages of marks obtained in GATE, Group Discussion and Interview shall be as indicated below:

Service Agreement Bond
The selected candidates will have to serve the company for at least three years. Breaking this bond will lead to compensation of Rs. 1,00,000 for General/OBC (NCL) candidates and Rs. 50,000 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
Power Grid Recruitment through GATE 2018 Previous Year Cut Off
The final selection will be based on the GATE Cut Offs for Power Grid Recruitment released by Power Grid for the selection process. The cut offs will be prepared on the basis of the scores obtained by the candidates in all the three selection stages of the Power Grid Recruitment through GATE 2018. Candidates from any category can get the tentative cut offs as per the previous years cut offs as given below:
