Notice of Computer Proficiency Test
The Computer Proficiency Test for the Clerk’s posts in the Subordinate Courts of Haryana, is now scheduled to take place On 21 November, 05 and 19 December, 2020. The date Januray 07, 2021 is tentatively fixed as reserved date. The admit cards indicating the date, time, and venue of the examination will be uploaded in due course on the website. Electronically generated Admit Cards uploaded on the website. You got intimation through E-mails/SMS in this regard. Aspirants downloaded their E-Admit Cards by visiting the website http://www.sssc.gov.in and filtering details like registration ID and password. You did not receive this document by post. Paste a duly attested photograph on the admit card.
Exam Pattern
Part-A (Objective type)
Candidates for the posts of Clerk in Subordinate Courts of Chandigarh that written examination test comprising of General Knowledge and English Language. For correct answers, 1 mark will be awarded and for incorrect answers, 0.25marks will be deducted. For questions not attempted, no credit will be given.

Minimum marks requirement
A candidate who appears in the written test must obtain at least 33% marks in each subject. Other than that in aggregate his/ her marks should be 40% or more combined together in both subjects. For instance, a candidate succeeds in attaining 33% marks in each subject but his/ her aggregate marks does not reach 40% than he/ she shall not be considered qualified.
Computer Proficiency Test
The central recruitment committee will call the candidates selected in the written test to appear for the stage-2 process. This is a CPT (Computer proficiency Test) it will take place in 2 parts
- Part-I Word Processing- in this part, a candidate will be tested for his speed in typing on the computer. A candidate will qualify for this test if she/ he achieves the speed of 30 wpm.
- Part-II Spreadsheet- a candidate will qualify this test if he/she achieves a given task in the spreadsheet.

Eligibility Criteria for Punjab and Haryana High Court Recruitment of Clerk 2019-2020
(i) Age criteria: Minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum age limit is 47 years. The maximum age limit depends upon the category to which a candidate belongs. Let us see the age criteria quickly:-
- General- min. 18 years and max. 42 years
- SC/ BC/ OBC of Punjab – min.18 years and max. 47 years
- In service employees- min. 18 and max. 42 years
- Widow/ legally separated- min. 18 years and max. 48 years
(ii) Qualification requirement: Undergraduate degree in Arts or Science or equivalent from a recognized university.
(iii) Subject Requirement: Candidate must have studied Punjabi in matriculation as one of the subject. (iv) Other requirements: candidate must be proficient in computer operations such as Word processing and Worksheet.
Answer Key
Punjab and Haryana HIgh court answer key will be released after the successful completion of an examination. The answer key helps the candidates to estimate their scores. Result
The result will be declared in the form of a merit list. Candidates who appear in the written test / CPT shall be able to check their result on the official website or on this page. The selection of the candidates will be based on the performance of the candidates in the written exam. A direct link to check the result is also provided here. Candidates who appeared in the exam need to qualify the minimum cutoff to get select in the examination.
Selection Procedure
A) Written Test: The aspirant is required to take a written test of 100 marks. You will get 50 questions from General Knowledge and 50 questions from English Composition. Those who receive 33% qualifying marks in each subject and 40% in aggregate will be declared qualified in the written examination. If a candidate does not get 40% in aggregate in both the subjects, he/ she shall not be considered for the post.
B) Computer Proficiency Test: The ones who clear the written test will proceed to appear for Computer Proficiency Test. Hon’ble Central Recruitment Committee will assess the proficiency of candidates in computer operations. This test will be mandatory. As the marks obtained in this test will be counted in preparing the merit list of the qualified candidates.
C) Document Verification: Recommended candidates by the committee shall undergo through document verification. You must bring your original testimonials for checking. List of candidates selected will be published on the official website. Marks obtained in all the stages will be clubbed.
