RRB Group D Cut Off

The RRB Group D cut off is the minimum normalised score needed to be shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test, and it is published zone-wise and category-wise by each RRB. Cut offs for CEN 08/2024 were released with the result on 1 July 2026. The table below shows previously published figures so you can gauge the range.

What the cut off depends on

There is no single national cut off. Each RRB sets its own, and it moves with:

• the number of vacancies notified in that zone
• the number of candidates who applied and appeared there
• the difficulty of the shifts, after normalisation
• category-wise reservation

This is why a score that comfortably qualifies in one zone can miss in another. Popular zones with high applicant-to-vacancy ratios consistently post higher cut offs.

How to read these numbers

Published cut offs are normalised marks, not raw marks out of 100. Normalised scores can exceed the raw maximum, which is why figures above 90 appear. Compare your normalised score from the scorecard against these, not your raw total.

Qualifying marks are a separate floor

Do not confuse the cut off with the minimum qualifying percentage. You must clear both: the qualifying floor (UR/EWS 40%, OBC-NCL/SC/ST 30%) and your zone-and-category cut off. Clearing 40% does not put you through if the zone cut off is higher.
