Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the syllabus for the RBI Grade B (DR)- General, DSIM, and DEPR separately. Candidates seeking to take one of the above-mentioned examinations can check the syllabus from below. Along with the syllabus, the official body has also recommended some books for the preparation purpose. Candidates must stick to the prescribed syllabus and books for their preparation and qualifying the exam. As per the official notification the exam pattern for every exam is different and carries different weightage. - Syllabus for English contains the following:

RBI publications viz., Annual Report, Report on Trend and Progress of Banking in India, Monetary Policy Report and the Financial Stability Report and the Economic Survey published by the Government of India over the previous two years.
Syllabus for RBI Grade B (DR) – DSIM
Standard of paper is that of the Master’s degree examination of any central university in India.
Paper 1: Questions would cover Probability: Definition of Probability, Standard distribution,Large and small sample theory, Analysis of Variance, Estimation, Testing of Hypotheses, Multivariate analysis and Stochastic Processes.
Paper 2: Questions would cover (i) Probability and Sampling, (ii) Linear Models and Economic Statistics, (iii) Statistical Inference: Estimation, Testing of hypothesis and Non-parametric Test, (iv) Stochastic Processes, (v) Multivariate analysis and (vi) Numerical Analysis and Basic Computer Techniques.
Paper 3: English: Essay, Précis writing, Comprehension and Business/Office
Correspondence.

Duration: Total duration of the paper is 120 minutes.

Phase 2 Examination:

Duration: Total duration of the exam is 270 minutes each paper of 90 minutes.
