Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur has released notification of Rajasthan High Court Recruitment 2017 in District Judge Cadre of Rajasthan Judicial Service in accordance with the provisions of Rajasthan Judicial Service Rules, 2010 (As amended) (hereinafter referred to as ‘Rules’) in pay scale of 51550- 1230-58930-1380-63070 against 27 posts. Educational Qualification – Interested candidates must hold a degree of Bachelor of Laws (Professional) of any University.

Selection Process – Selection will be made on the basis of marks secured in Written examination which will be followed by Personal Interview.

Examination Fee

  • SC/ST Candidates – 250/-
  • Persons with Disabilities (Differently Abled) – 250/-
  • OBC Candidates (Non Creamy layer) – 500/-
  • All other candidates – 800/-

How to Apply – The candidate may fill-in on-line application through his own computer & printer with internet facility or with help of service provider who provides service of computer & printer with internet facility like Cyber cafe, e-Mitra kiosk etc., the charges of which shall be borne by the candidate.

Rajasthan High Court Recruitment 2017 Eligibility Criteria

A candidate for direct recruitment to the service:

  • must be a Citizen of India;
  • must hold a degree of Bachelor of Laws (Professional) of any University established by Law in India and recognized as such under the Advocates Act, 1961;
  • must have been an Advocate for a period of not less than seven years on the last date fixed for submission of online application i.e. 06/03/2017; and
  • must possess a thorough knowledge of Hindi Written in Devnagri Script and Rajasthani Dialects and Social Customs of Rajasthan.

Note: Assistant Public Prosecutors having requisite eligibility are permitted to participate and appear in the examination for Direct Recruitment to the District Judge Cadre.

Age Limit

A candidate for direct recruitment to the service must have attained the age of 35 years and must not have attained the age of 45 years on the 1st day of January 2018.

  • Provided that the upper age limit mentioned above shall be relaxed by 5 (five) years in case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and Women Candidates.
  • If a candidate would have been entitled in respect of his age to appear at the examination in any year in which no such examination was held, he shall be deemed to be entitled in respect of his age to appear at the next following examination.

Rajasthan High Court Recruitment 2017 Exam Pattern

The Scheme of the written examination for competitive examination for Direct Recruitment in the District Judge Cadre shall consist of:-

  • A written examination in the subject mentioned hereinafter, and
  • An interview to test the general knowledge of the candidate and his fitness for appointment to the cadre.

Note:

  • Recruiting Authority shall be at liberty to adopt the mode of short-listing, if required, in the event number of candidates to be admitted to the written examination is higher.
  • Merit of the candidates securing same aggregate marks shall be determined on basis of the higher marks obtained in Interview. The merit of the candidates who are having same aggregate marks with equal marks even in Interview shall be determined by giving higher preference to the candidate who was enrolled as Advocate on earlier date.
