RPSC JLO Syllabus 2019 Download PDF

RPSC JLO Syllabus 2019: The syllabus for RPSC JLO 2019 for all the 4 papers has been defined by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC). The written exam consists of 4 papers of 50 marks each and the candidates get 3 hours to solve each paper. There will also be negative marking in the written exam. The 4th paper will consist of a language section. There will 2 languages in the 4th exam which hare English and Hindi. RPSC JLO Syllabus 2019

Below is the syllabus for all the 4 papers of RPSC Junior Legal Officer 2019:

Paper-1: Below are the topics that will be covered in the first paper:

  • Constitution of India with special emphasis on Fundamental rights
  • Directive Principles and enforcement of rights through writs
  • The functioning of high court
  • Functioning of Supreme court
  • Functioning of Attorney General

Paper-2: The paper-2 will consist of the following subjects in the question paper.

  • Civil Procedure Code
  • Criminal Procedure Code
  • Provisions required to be referred generally in Government Offices will be given importance.

Paper-3: Below are the topics that will be present in the paper-3 of written exam of RPSC JLO 2019:

  • Evidence Act
  • Limitation Act
  • Interpretation of Statutes drafting and
  • conveyancing.

Paper-4: The fourth paper consists of the test of command on the language of the candidate. The paper is divided into 2 sections i.e. Hindi Language and English Language.

(i) Hindi Language:

RPSC JLO Exam Pattern 2019

The candidates must also know the exam pattern for the written exam of RPSC JLO. Last RPSC JLO exam was held in the year 2013 when the question paper of each paper had 150 questions. All the questions will be of the level of senior secondary level. Check Below the exam pattern for the RPSC Junior Legal Officer Exam:

Mode of Exam: The exam will be conducted in online mode only.
Language: The question paper will be bilingual i.e. in Hindi and English except for the language paper.
Duration: Candidates will get 3 hours to solve the question for each paper.
Type of Questions: Question Paper will consist of objective type of questions only.
Marking Scheme: There will be negative marking.
Qualifying Marks: To qualify the paper, the candidate needs to score 40% marks of the total marks in the exam.

Level Of Exam

The eligibility criteria for the Junior Legal Officer is Graduation from Law stream from a recognised university. The written exam will consist of questions from the topics of graduation syllabus. The written exam is divided into 4 papers. Every paper will be of 50 marks. This exam was conducted in the year 2013 last when every paper had 150 questions with negative marking of 1/3rd of the total marks of the question. The exam paper is said to be of the level fo senior secondary for attempting. The candidates must clear the cut-off minimum marks to get through the written exam.

Preparation Tips

You must refer below some preparation tips that the candidates should refer to while starting the preparation for the RPSC Junior Legal Officer 2019:

Refer Graduation Books: The candidates must clear all the doubts about each of the topics stated in the syllabus above. After clearing the basics of the topics, you can proceed to prepare the topics from other books for the competitive exam. Make sure to prepare notes after doing a topic.

Analyse Previous year Question Paper: The last exam was held in the ear 2013. Candidates can download the previous year question papers and analyse them to know which where the major topics in the exam and prepare according to them.

Know to Syllabus: Candidates must know the syllabus and should figure out his strong and weak points in the syllabus and focus more on the weak points.

Maintain a Study Plan: The candidates must prepare a study plan and abide by the same. The study plan will help you to prepare for the exam in this little time and have time for the revisions. Do not forget ot add revision to the study plan.

Make Notes: Make notes after every topic that you complete. This will help you in two ways. You can use the notes when you need to revise the topics and the second is you will remember to topics more clearly if you make the notes for it just after studying it.

Make Weekly Targets: Weekly targets will help you with the progress for preparing your topics. This will also help you track the topics that are to be done within the time left.

Speed And Accuracy: The written exam will have negative marking for the wrong answers. Hence, you must maintain accuracy for attempting the answers. Do not attempt the question where you are not sure of the answer for more than 2 choices.

Language Command: All subjects other than language will be common. You can score more than others in the exam through the language exam. Prepare well for both the languages.

About RPSC JLO 2019

The Junior Legal Officer exam conducted by Rajasthan Public Service Commission consists of written exam and personal interview. The written exam is divided into 4 papers of 50 marks each. The candidates must clear the minimum qualifying marks to clear the written exam. Candidates who clear the written exam will be called for the personal interview. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis candidate’s performance in the written exam and the personal interview.
