RRB JE Exam Pattern 2019
The RRB JE Exam Pattern 2019 consists of three stages. Candidates can check the exam pattern of each stage in detail from below.

RRB JE CBT 1
- Duration: The CBT stage 1 is of 90 minutes. Candidates belonging to PwD category get 120 minutes.
- Languages – The test will be held in 15 languages, English, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Konkani, Odiya, Assamese, Bengali, Manipuri, and Malayalam.
- Questions – There will be 100 multiple choice based questions in the exam.
- Marking Scheme – Each question is of one marks. For every incorrect answer, 1/3 of the marks is deducted from the total score.

RRB JE CBT 2
Only those candidates are eligible for this round who secures the cutoff marks in the CBT stage 1. Check the details given below to know stage 2 CBT pattern.
- Duration of Exam: For the CBT 2, students will get 2 Hours. PwD category candidates will get 160 minutes for the test.
- Total No. of questions: There will be a total of 150 questions in stage 2 exam.
- Language of the exam: The exam is going to be held in English, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Konkani, Odiya, Assamese, Bengali, Manipuri, and Malayalam.
- Marking Scheme – Candidates will get one mark for every correct answer. For every wrong answer, 1/3 marks are deducted from the total score.

RRB JE Document Verification
Candidates qualifying both the CBT rounds are called for the document verification. In this round, candidates need to present the original as well as two sets of self-attested photocopies of the documents. No extension of the time is given to the candidates to produce the documents. The certificates can be presented in either Hindi or English. In case, the certificate is in some other language then, he or she has to get the self-attested translated version of the same on the day of document verification.
- Two self-attested photocopies of all certificates and the copies should be scanned copies in the true color.
- Matriculation / High School Certificate as the date of birth proof.
- Diploma / Engineering / Science Degree certificates along with the Mark-sheets of all Semesters.

RRB JE recruitment 2019 is open for 13487 vacancies. Out of which 12844 vacancies are for Junior Engineer (JE), 29 for Junior Engineer (Information Technology), 227 for Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and 387 for Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA). The selection of the candidates takes place on the basis of three stages CBT 1, CBT 2 and document verification. The final appointment of the candidates is done as per the medical exam held at railway hospitals. Shortlisted candidates are recruited under level 6 of the 7th CPC pay matrix with Rs. 35400 as basic salary along with the allowances.
