Yes. SSC CGL 2026 Tier-I admit cards are being released date by date, because Tier-I is being held from 30 September to 30 October 2026. The Staff Selection Commission made exam city details live on 21 September 2026 and said each Admission Certificate would tentatively be downloadable two to three days before the candidate's own exam date. The Tier-II admit card comes later: the Notice of Examination of 21 May 2026 gave December 2026 as the tentative Tier-II schedule (it then planned Tier-I for August-September 2026), and SSC has not yet notified Tier-II dates.
Where do you download the SSC CGL 2026 admit card?
Both the exam city intimation and the Admission Certificate are opened through the designated login module on ssc.gov.in, as the 21 September 2026 city-intimation notice states. SSC's CGL answer-key write-ups ask candidates to log in with their Registration Number and Password, and the admit-card notices point to the same designated login module. Under the Notice of Examination, city and time-table information goes up about 10 days before the exam, and the admit card 2-3 days before it; you must bring a printout to the exam hall.
If your details are not visible one week before your exam date, contact the SSC Regional Office concerned immediately with proof of having submitted your application. The Notice warns that failing to do so will deprive you of any claim. Any letter to SSC must quote your Registration Number, Roll Number, registered email ID and mobile number, with name, date of birth and exam name, or it will not be entertained.
What should you check on the admit card?
SSC's clarification on the CGLE 2024 Tier-II e-admit card explains the layout: the exam date is printed at the upper left corner, and the exam date(s), timings and venue appear in the column just below your address. Check that the date of birth matches your photo ID, because a mismatch between the admit card and the ID means you will not be allowed to appear. PwBD candidates with locomotor disability should check the compensatory time and scribe status printed on the card; SSC's general notice of 7 September 2026 on these entitlements tells them to contact their Regional Office with supporting documents if anything is wrong.
For CGLE 2026 Tier-I, own scribes registered before 5 November 2025 had to register afresh (scribe registration is now Aadhaar-authenticated), and candidates had to map their scribe's OTR by 24 September 2026 (11:00 P.M.). The Scribe Entry Pass is generated only after this mapping.
What to carry and reporting rules
Candidates who could not complete Aadhaar-based authentication must report at the centre two hours before the exam starts. Along with the admit card, they must carry at least two recent passport-size colour photographs and an original photo ID showing the same date of birth as the admit card. The CGLE 2026 Notice accepts these IDs:
- Aadhaar card or e-Aadhaar printout, Voter ID, Driving Licence, PAN card or Passport
- University, college or school ID card, or a Government/PSU employer ID card
- Ex-Serviceman Discharge Book, or any other photo ID issued by the Central or State Government
If the ID does not show your date of birth, carry an additional original proof such as a Matriculation certificate or a CBSE/ICSE/State Board mark sheet. The Notice sets debarment periods for misconduct: 3 years for possessing a mobile phone, switched on or off; 7 years for Bluetooth devices, spy cameras or other electronic gadgets; and 7 years for photographing question papers. SSC also checks every exam afterwards through log analysis, photograph and biometric verification, and CCTV footage.
Tier-II and rescheduled-exam admit cards
Only candidates shortlisted in the Tier-I result get the Tier-II Admission Certificate. For CGLE 2025 Tier-II, the city details went live on 9 January 2026 and the exam was held on 18 and 19 January 2026, with the DEST skill test on day 1. The CGLE 2024 Tier-II admit card notice said toilet breaks were not allowed in the first hour. It also said Sections I, II and III of Session-I appear in that order and cannot be revisited. In CGLE 2025, candidates whose Tier-I exam was rescheduled after SSC's log analysis could download a fresh admit card from 9 October 2025 for the 14 October 2025 exam.
