SSC CHSL Admit Card 2026: Tier-I City Slip, Download, ID Rules

The SSC CHSL 2026 Tier-I admit card is not out yet. Tier-I is proposed from 30 November to 31 December 2026, and SSC releases admit cards only 2-3 days before each candidate's exam date. The dates were set by SSC's notice of 1 October 2026. A corrigendum on 26 October 2026 revised only the Junior Engineer and Sub-Inspector exam dates. Under the CHSL 2026 Notice, your exam city and time-table appear about 10 days before your exam.

Where do you get the SSC CHSL 2026 admit card?

SSC issues the city intimation and the Admission Certificate for every stage online, through the designated login module on ssc.gov.in. SSC's CHSL answer-key write-ups ask candidates to log in with their Registration Number and Password, and the admit-card notices point to the same designated login module. If your details are not visible one week before your exam date, contact the SSC Regional Office concerned immediately with proof of having applied. The CHSL 2026 Notice warns that failing to do so will deprive you of any claim. Any letter to SSC must quote your Registration Number, Roll Number, registered email ID, mobile number, name, date of birth and exam name.

How the city slip worked last cycle

For CHSLE 2025, SSC let candidates choose their own exam city, date and shift. This window ran from 22 to 28 October 2025, through "My Application" and the "Select City, Exam Date, Shift" button. The city could be any of the 3 chosen in the application, and the choice was confirmed by OTP. SSC warned that candidates taking the exam in a regional language might have fewer date and shift choices. City intimation then went live on 5 November 2025. Candidates who had not been given a city from their preferences could object through the feedback portal until 8 November 2025. SSC described the 2025 auto-allocation rule as a one-time measure, so watch ssc.gov.in for the 2026 arrangement.

The medium you chose in your application matters. In CHSL 2026, Parts II, III and IV of Tier-I are set in English, Hindi and the language you opted for. Annexure-XV of the Notice lists 15 languages: Hindi, English and 13 regional languages from Assamese and Bengali to Telugu and Urdu.

What to carry and exam-day rules

You must bring a printout of the Admission Certificate. Candidates who could not complete Aadhaar-based authentication must report two hours before the exam starts. They must also carry at least two recent passport-size colour photographs and an original photo ID showing the same date of birth as the admit card. The CHSL 2026 Notice accepts:

• Voter ID, Driving Licence, PAN card or Passport
• University, college or school ID card, or a Government/PSU employer ID card
• Ex-Serviceman Discharge Book, or any other photo ID issued by the Central or State Government

If the ID has no date of birth, carry an original Matriculation certificate, a CBSE/ICSE/State Board mark sheet or a similar proof. A date-of-birth mismatch means you will not be allowed to appear. The CHSL 2026 Notice sets debarment periods for misconduct:

• 03-05 years for possessing a mobile phone, Bluetooth device, wireless device, spy camera or other electronic gadget
• 07 years for photographing or filming question papers
• 03-05 years for using a forged admit card

SSC also checks every exam afterwards through log analysis, photograph and biometric verification, and CCTV footage.

Tier-II admit card and typing test

Tier-II has its own Admission Certificate, issued only to candidates who qualify in Tier-I. Tier-II is held in two sessions on the same day. Session-I (2 hours and 15 minutes) has Sections I to III, and Session-II has the Skill Test or Typing Test. For CHSLE 2025 Tier-II, city details went live on 1 April 2026, the Admission Certificate and Scribe Entry Pass came on 7 April 2026, and the exam was held on 10 April 2026; the Shift-II Skill/Typing Test of that day was cancelled for technical glitches and re-held on 22 April 2026, with a fresh admit card due on 17 April 2026. PwD candidates seeking a typing-test exemption had to email their medical certificate and undertaking to their Regional Office by 9 April 2026 (12:00 noon). They also had to produce the originals at the test.
